I have a 2” sleeping pad I put on top the foam.
I’m 5’ 10” and I can sleep with my legs straight. I sleep with my head to front of the truck.
Did you have the wedge and block made? Or did you purchase them from some place? I am interested in this being only 5'10". :)

I would remove the rear seat and the passenger front and build a plywood platform as close to the floor as possible. More stealthy if you’re out of site down low and more room for your feet under the dash.
When I started sleeping in the cab I just remove the passenger front seat and rear under seat storage. Then folded up the rear seat and put down a 2” foam sleeping pad. With your feet under the dash I had enough room to sleep. Also, I liked that I could sit in the backseat and stretch out my legs and work on my laptop. My only criticism is you don’t have room to bend your knees if you are a side sleeper.

The wedge and block are from SoftScape.
They are pretty firm and are made for toddlers to climb on.

At 5’10 you should be able to get comfortable. I think someone 6’ could lay straight on their back. But you will need to run your sleep pad into the storage area behind the rear seats.

Also, There are wedge pillow blocks at Walmart. I plan to tryout them out this fall. They are wider so hopefully I can get a tighter fit.

Did you ever end up trying the Walmart pillows?

Sorry not yet. I just set the JT up for sleeping again. I am using some sofa cushions and the wedge block. But I think I will get a wedge pillow since it is wider.

Currently looking at this.

I was able to fold the back seats and fronts down by removing the head rest from the front and back. Then I placed wedge pillows in the front seats to level them off. Then I just used normal pillows and rolled up towels to fill in gaps. (No building) This allowed me to stuff a 2” queen inflatable camping pad into the cab. If you are shorter than 6 foot you should be able to sleep straight otherwise you my need to sleep diagonally. Since I am 5’10”, I was able to just set up the passenger side for sleeping.

This photo shows the whole cab converted to sleep area.

This is best set up yet I've seen by far for being toasty in the cab. I just tested it but i cant get the back seat head rests out. There is no clip to take out the back head rest like the front. How do I get them out without taking off back of the back seat panel?

You still using the same setup? Trying to do the same except with the rear seats removed to allow for space to place my feet down to put on shoes and exit the vehicle. Was going to build a small shelf to place the feet at the end, essentially creating a gap in the middle.

I strung up a hammock for myself that worked... alright ??? My son even had enough room to sleep on the folded down rear seats.

I sleep in my JT all the time. I just pull the head rest up and lay the seat flat. I could do that on a weekend if i had too. I can also fit somewhat comfortably in the bed at an angle.

Anymore than 2 days i think it would get old..

There is always alcohol. Drink enough and you can sleep anywhere hahaha!

Inside the Jeep always seemed such a massive advantage over any other sleeping arrangement. If you’re a solo camper and under 6’1” or so, you should be able to sleep front to back inside the JT.

I don’t know what the percentage of bad nights in a tent I’ve had but it’s probably up around 50%. Wind, rain, uneven ground, visits from strangers, visits from other vehicles, animals. all these issues are mostly resolved being inside the vehicle.

inside the jeep you can chill with built in lights, usb power, fire up the car heater before bed, fire up again in the morning.
