Sooo. I smashed my drivers side taillight last night. I wish had a cool off roading story to justify it but the reality is my wife shut the driveway gate on me when I was about half way through. The closing gate caught the passenger rear wheel just right and the resulting force shoved the rear end of the jeeptruck into the neighbors fence. Damage included a dented plastic fender flare and some broken clips on the drivers side rear, a smashed taillight on the passenger side rear, a dent above/ behind the taillight, an OOC driveway gate with bent hardware and a cracked weld, and some boards knocked out of the neighbors fence. Any one of these things would be easy to deal with but the totality has me debating making an auto insurance claim. I am wondering if anyone has had damage similar to that in the photo and what it cost to repair. Obviously I’ll get a quote but just curious if this has happened to anyone else.
