I don't know if they're trying to make way for the Gen3 products or just have too many in stock but 4WD Hardware is selling the Smittybilt X20 12000 lb. winch with synthetic rope for $477.39 on Amazon right now. If you're a Prime member you get free Prime shipping as well. Wasn't the winch I was originally going to go with but at that price point with synthetic it seemed like the thing to do.

Still haven't gotten the one I ordered originally. UPS has been holding it hostage at the local distribution center for a week now. Went in to see about it the day after they were supposed to deliver it and they couldn't get it for me. What the heck man? Changed it to pick up today but has yet to update as being ready for pick up.

Amazon does give some pretty good deals from time to time if you watch patiently (stalk). When I was looking for a winch I knew I only had about $500 to spend (pets and house comes first) so over 2 weeks I kept looking at comparisons of name brands under $500. Looking at smittybuilt 10k and warm vr8 on sale and a few others. Eventually spotted a Bulldog 15k winch for $364. Clicked the “new from $...” link and found the other 5 sellers had it priced between 1700 & 1900. One seller was clearancing them out for $364. Google the brand and seen a lot of good reviews. Bought it and the next day they were sold out. (Got lucky). Amazon warehouse deals has some good stuff sometimes too. Found my Bestop Highrock bumper on there for less than 1/2 price used with “minor cosmetic damage top and sides” bought it (original box torn up bumper scratched) and a can of matte black texture paint and it looked like new.
