Looking for real world opinions vs these 2 winches.
I've run a RC 9500lb synthetic on a Jeep JKUR and a RC 12000lb on a Ram 1500. Had a warn M12000 on a K5 and a XDI 9000lb on a 4 door Tahoe and really have seen no difference in performance. Wondering what this new Smittybilt XRC gen 3 has in advantages / disadvantages over the RC at $200 bucks less.

I know people swear by Warn and others, but my RC winches never let me down. Just like the 7.0hp and some other features of the Smittybilt

I'd probably look at the HF Badlands synthetic as well as if I was shopping that hard.

I picked up the 12K XRC Gen 3 synthetic for $699 at the nearest 4WP store, they threw in a $70 house brand hook. A good friend of mine has a Gen 2 on his super WJ and it's worked really hard and well for him, so saving the $$ vs a Warn seemed reasonable.
