Took her in almost 2 weeks ago for paint protection film. Got the bra to cover the front quarter section of the fenders, hood and entire grill.
Also had the hinges filmed along with the rockers just behind the front fenders. Hoping this keeps rock chips to a minimum. Went in the shop last week to pick her up and spur of the moment decided to have Ceramic Pro coating applied. Time will tell how the ceramic performs as I got the 5 year Silver Package warranty. My initial impression is I’m pretty blown away after picking the truck up tonight. The paint really pops and has a glass like appearance and finish.

Ceramic Pro Silver Package was $1,100 but I got a discounted price based on the other work I was having done.

First time for Ceramic for me so time will tell.Hoping it cuts down on detail time as there is no need for traditional waxing.
This is the coating I went with.

An update on the Ceramic Pro after just over one week. Early impression is that the coating seems to be as advertised. The pics below are after driving for a week through rain, snow, salt and rust belt winter road grime. Installer told me not to wash for at least 1 week so truck is untouched since I picked it up.
Other than the black plastic trim and black metal trim pieces the body panels, hood, etc. looks like it was recently washed. This is the result I was hoping for. Hoping this holds up long term.

Looks great! Looking at this for my Black JTR. Black looks great when it’s clean. That lasts for 2 minutes. Red is almost as bad as black for showing dirt so this is promising.

I put ceramic on my Ferrari, it is incredible. Nothing sticks to it! Almost two years of HARD driving and I can apply gorilla tape on my doors and they just blow off, its incredible. I just power wash after months of driving, sometimes with the foam canon, nothing sticks to it. I'd post pix but I dont want to come off pretentious.

Some tips: Use a good quality beadmaker, it'll prolong the ceramic and add to the sine. I got a gallon of P&S (smells incredible). For foam canon I use a MTM with honeydew soap. Another tip is do not rely on the ceramic to protect your paint from chips. Also for your PPF, you can use a heat gun to take away scratches over time. Let me know if you want any other tips.

Have you gone mudding yet? its funny to watch globs of mud just fall off on its own.

I live in the rust belt and the only thing I’ve noticed is when the roads are salted the grime still collects but if we get a good rain it tends to wash most of it away. After washing with a good Si02 car wash and foam cannon the finish looks amazing for weeks when it’s just rain and road spray I’m driving in.
Favorite Si02 wash is Mckee’s 37, a few ounces in the cannon goes a long way and keeps a nice finish for weeks. It also smells like Bubble Gum!
Don’t plan on doing much mudding, got that out of my system with my last 2 JK’s.
