Mine looks exactly like the Rubicon fender lights maybe it is because of the max tow package or the aux switches package. Going to try a different route anyway but was just wondering. Thanks

The tell on the RubIcon fenders is that the top comes all the way up to the hood parting line. Look close at pics you’ll see.
Not sure how any/all of the lights differ-

I think it depends on the plastic fenders. My dealership had a Rubi the same color as my Sport S with plastic fenders. So I pulled up next to it on a Sunday and took a bunch of measurements.

What I found on this Rubi is the fenders were identical to my Sport S. Placements, distance from hood, etc. I’ve only seen the high fenders so far on the painted fenders on the Rubicon.

This is not correct, unless someone did some swapping. Rubicon fenders are higher, both front and rear. I have compared mine to @smoverland to confirm.

My bad. I rechecked my pics/measures. The front point was what I was focussed on. The side is a good inch to inch and a half higher.

Maybe not a stock option/build. But definitely being sold on the lot in PA.
So, if someone swaps Rubicon flares onto a Sport (or vice versa) they are (then) the same. Gotcha.
There are actually about 5 different current fender variations:
Rubicon non-painted
Rubicon painted
Overland painted
Sport non-painted
Max Tow non-painted

I thought I saw an option for painted fenders on the Sport S recently too. They didn’t look high to me.

I have also read that they are available to order now, but I have not yet seen them, so I left them off. I believe they will be the same as the Overland flares.

The Jeep build your own site shows you can get painted fenders for the Sport, but add max tow and it takes them back off. Put them on and it takes max tow off. So it's one or the other - painted fenders OR max tow but not both according to the Jeep site 2 days ago.

There’s several sets of fenders that are different. Rubicons do stand alone.

Was looking at a set of led lights on Amazon and they said they would not fit the Sport or Sport S trim I asked why and they said the fenders are different is this correct?

If you have the Max Tow fenders, the DRL's and turn signals are the same as a Rubicon non-LED fender - individual lights for the DRL & turn signal. The Sport/Sport S non Max Tow have a single piece fender and only a turn signal w/out DRL's. This is the fitment difference that is listed.

Will the Rubicon takeoff flares fit on the Sport Max Tow? It looks like the fenders themselves are different.

will the sport’s flare liners work with the rubicon flares?
