Ordered 7/3 and finally picked up 10/11! I’ve had 3.5 months to think about what I want to do to make this my own and can’t wait to get started!

Drove straight from the dealership to the tire shop to put on some Falken Wildpeak A/T3W 275/70/R18s. Aired to 35 psi and drives great on stock suspension! Purchased Rubicon shock and spring takeoffs but not sure if I’ll install them or go with a softer suspension setup.

Since PA road salt is killer on vehicles, sprayed CRC Heavy Duty corrosion inhibitor throughout the entire underbody including suspension before winter comes. Sprayed two coats using four bottles, left it overnight for at least twelve hours to cure.

After a four hour drive the next day, the solvents have evaporated and the coating seems to be holding up nicely! All components initially had a yellow tinge but that mostly went away in a couple of days.

Installed Mopar Splash Guards. Easy to do, under two hours to complete.

Purchased a rivet tool from Advanced Auto which turned out to be garbage, but made it through!

Minor addition but the passenger grab tray is a nice addition!

Didn’t realize the material was felt inside so it may not hold up for long.

How do you think it will hold up? Have you done it to any other vehicles? I think this is a great idea! I live in Indiana so I am in the same boat!

Great looking Jeep!

Thanks! Haven’t used this before but I decided on this after looking at an experiment someone conducted online linked below. It went on really well and it’s really thick so I think it’ll hold up well.

Any thoughts on other stuff you’ve used in the past?

Haha thanks! Yeah I’ve definitely failed! He loves the front seat and jumps in anytime I get out.

Do you have any more info on the splash guards?
Did you get them through your dealer or online?
Thanks.

No problem, I bought them online through Amazon since it was the best price, but they are Mopar splash guards. Easy to install, just need a rivet tool. I got one at Advanced Auto but it wasn’t the best. Harbor Freight has some good cheap ones!

Install was easy but needed to remove the rear tires to put those on and needed to drill another hole per the instructions. Really easy though, took an hour and a half.

That is a GREAT video! I actually have never tried any of those or tried rust proofing from new. But looking under and working under my 15 year old Dodge Ram I WILL be doing something to the Gladiator. There are just too many things that have rusted that could be prevented with just a product like CRC or something else. I am glad you found that video! Thank you!

I see that they won’t work with Rubicons...

Ah yeah forgot to mention that. You are right, won’t work with rubicons. I’m sure there are others that might work.
