My brake/turn signal on the driver's side is dead. The book says the bulb is a 3157 but the one I bought doesn't fit. The original bulb has a glass base and clicks into place in the socket; the replacement bulb has a plastic base and just slides in with no resistance, and slides out just as easily - it's obviously NOT a replacement! So, what is the correct replacement bulb?

Would the reverse light have 2 filaments?

just went and checked: the reverse light is on the bottom of the housing; the brake/turn signal is on the top of the housing. I definitely pulled out the brake/turn signal bulb.

Followup: the 7443 bulb is, indeed, the correct one, contrary to the information in the Owner's Manual. I put a new bulb in and it didn't make a difference - the problem appears to be an intermittent connection within the connector attached to the wiring harness up in the rear fender. By wiggling the wiring going into that connector from the harness I am able to get the light to work, or not. I guess it's time for a warranty visit at the dealer.
