Stuck in hospital for week after getting new Mojave.

Got super excited to trade in my black 2020 Sport S for a 2021 Snazzberry Mojave last week. Signed the paperwork on Fridaay, and Saturday evening I ended up in the ER with an infection in the finger that I smashed my fingernail on earlier in the week. After being on Antibiotics it got worse, and was admitted into the hospital Monday morning with swelling up my entire arm.

Had surgery Monday evening and have been slowly recovering in the hospital since. Current plans have me on an IV at home for the next month, and cleaning and repacking the incisions 3 times a day.

I have all my take off aftermarket parts I wanted to swap to the Mojave, and more stuff on the way that will have to sit in the garage while I recover. This all sucks lol

Thanks lol I'll get to it eventually, I doubt I'll be driving it much for the next month either way. Maybe by the time I'm better I'll have Oracle's fix for their reverse lights in hand and not have to touch those again.

By the way, it was a sheer luck that I had this option which saved me tons of money. Highly recommend!

A friend of mine got to hospital every single time he traded in his cars. It happened for 4 or maybe even 5 times. It was a sheer coincidence every single time but still there is something vicious about that.

Still on disability for a few weeks, but mostly better. Trying to regain 100% range of motion. At least I've been able to put some miles on the truck now

This is why I ended up having to buy a 2022 Gladiator instead of the "21.

Fell off a ladder in the garage in Aug of 2020. Open fracture, Radial Head sheared off, and complete dislocation of the left elbow. Six surgeries in under a year. Only two were planned but severe pain kept them trying again [reduced the size of the metal radial head they put in for three] and again [another try at fixing all the soft tissue damage on the outer elbow] and then off to an elbow specialist who had to redo the soft tissue on the inner elbow---and finally the sixth was the elbow specialist putting in cadaver soft tissue on the outside which solved the pain issues.

I refuse to buy an automatic unless absolutely necessary---so I had to wait until after knowing the surgery in Aug 2021 worked to order the MT Mojave.

The wife unit was praying I'd have to buy an auto----shucky darn the bad luck I can get the manual . Glad you're enjoying the auto.
