So I geeked out yesterday anticipating my JT. ( Sport "E" (wide track w bench seat) or the overland caddy if wide available, or the full on Rubi without the loud stickers for me - price matters and won't spend house type money on any truck even if this Jeep is perfect which it pretty much is imho). Anyway got the old jeep started, drove it to the local shop to see how much it will cost to get running for trade or cash sale for down payment. Alright, so question: what car or expenses are you giving up for the JT? And if you are just adding it, what will determine you driving it instead of your favorite on any given day?

I got T-boned in my jetta TDI a few months back. Our other vehicle was a grand caravan with 230,000 on it. So since i've been waiting axiously for a gladiator, i told my wife i would drive the old van, she could get a new one.

So 2 weeks ago we just got a 2019 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid, S package all optioned out. Its such a joy to drive.

So when i'm ready to pull the trigger on the Gladiator, i'll be giving up the 230,000 Grand Caravan! Not much of a sacrifice. It'll be my daily driver and my preferred mode of transportation; however, that Pacifica is pretty nice! I believe the top will be down a lot in my Gladiator. Unfortunately, probably shouldn't buy another new vehicle for a year or so. :crying:

Sold my 2017 ZR2 diesel Colorado for this. Ive got a 2005 LJ on 37s with 49K on the clock, a 2006 LJ Rubicon on 35s with 30K on the clock and the wife has a 2017 Audi Q3 that will likely be sold/traded since we both work from home and dont need it.

I have a 2018 Ridgeline RTL that I probably would not have bought if I had done any research at all on anything else since I would have seen the pictures of the Gladiator mules driving around and would have wanted to wait to see it. I really like the Ridgeline, it has done everything I have asked it to do as I am sure the Gladiator will. My problem now is the cost first, it would be nice if FCA would announce that, and do I want to trade in a perfectly good Honda for a Jeep. I have wanted a Jeep, and Jeep to me means the vehicles now known as Wranglers, since before I turned 16 but for whatever reason have never ended up with one but I have been on the JL forum for the last several months and boy they seem to have quite a few problems. Even the 19's are still having some of the same issues and I am not excited by that.

I'll be trading in my 2016 Civic, the wife got an 18 JLU 6 months ago and got me hooked on Jeep. Between that and hating borrowing a truck to do any kind of work, we will become a Jeep family. Pricing will decide which packages I look at, would love a Rubicon, but realise I wont use it to it's full potential 99% of the time.
