I have installed the ARB Linx in my 2020 Gladiator. Part of the installation is tapping into the ACC power pickup, low beam pickup, high beam pickup, and reverse light pickup.

The acc and low beam was easy. The cigarette lighter has 3 wires, 2 of which are the acc and low beam.

For the high beam and reverse light taps, is there a place to tap other than at the back of each corresponding light?

If not, does someone have a detailed explanation or picture of where to tap into the high beam and reverse at the back of each light?

Thank you.

(To administrators, would be great to see a dedicated “electrical” section in the forums as there are a lot of electrical topics spread through all the different sections)

I don't have a schematic and don't know the routing or wire colors, but the hi-beams have to have wires close to steering column. Your hi-beam switch is there. Your back-up lights would need to be near the shifter/tranny hump as that is where the switch should be to engage them.

As to dedicated to forum, take a look around. Most here have the attention span of a Golden Retriever at a squirrel convention.

You can get the reverse lights in the passenger footwell just in front of the door. That harness runs along the passenger side rocker to the rear. Watch the install video for the CoolTech flat row harness.

For the brights just follow the correct wire color at the bulb back towards the fuse panel in the harness. You should be able to access it easily from just above the passenger side front fender.

I use Posi Taps and love them for ease and solid connection.

Thank you!!!!

Yes, all my wire taps are with the posi taps, makes life easy and in case of taping the wrong wire (which I’ve done before), the wire isn’t destroyed from trying to remove the insulation and splicing with solder. Plus super fast!!!!

I want to do the something similar as you. I want off road lights on with high beam / brights and a reverse light on with reverse.

I found this harness for the reverse lights. It "should" plug into the trailer harness (behind the bumper) and provide stand alone power for reverse lights. You will have to cut the flat 4 connector off and splice into the reverse wire but it saves having to cut or pierce the factory wire harness.

I would like to find a harness for the headlights also but have not found one. That way I can tap into the bright light signal to run a relay for off road lights to turn on with brights.

The Curt 56584 is the harness that works for tapping into the reverse line. No need to cut the flat plug off, use a trailer side plug with bare wires like the Curt 58540.
