Some use 'em to disable the ESS (engine stop/start) so they don't have to keep pressing the button each time they start anew.

There are lots of cool functions available with the Tazer, it will do a light show, you can enable the turn signal camera (backup camera comes on with turn signals) and many other functions. zAutomotive has a list of things posted.

In the last firmware update they added the feature that shut off your plate lights in reverse to stop the glare on the back up cam...that feature alone is worth it to me

Didn't fix mine.. Been communicating with Z Automotive to solve. I have the latest firmware. Only non-standard thing is the cargo cam that I have installed.

It's not working for me either in my JTR with manual trans and 7" screen. I also reached out to Z Auto and they knew it wasn't working across the board and were trying to fix it.

8.4 inch rubicon. Mine worked no problem after the firmware upgrade. Have not installed my cargo cam yet.

Yes - I'd prefer to have that feature working, but for me disabling ESS and adding the Cargo cam (in the grill) were the most important. BTW, mine is a rubicon also with the 8.4.

For some reason I can't the AutoTurn / camera thing working, my wife's Honda has that and she really likes it. Thought it was just automagical? The documentation PDF is woefully out of date.

Sorry, been gone on an involuntary 7-day vacation for the last week because someone thought it was ok to be a hypocrite and temp-ban me.
Anyway...
You have to turn it on while the vehicle is turned on. You scroll to the bluetooth or radio tower image no your EVIC, and then push the buttons and it says "TURN-CAM" and you turn it to "ON". And it should work. You also have to make sure your In-Motion Navigation is turned to off. I don't know why the 2 don't work together, but it is what it is. Maybe you can email Tazer to get it fixed.
