Actually Yes, discussion here Sir https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/...posting-ike-gauntlet-video.16576/#post-247485Has this been posted?
2.5" squat with 7000 lb trailer, but they didn't say tongue weight. Hey @TommyTFL What was the tongue weight?
Just for clarification to tell you how tough this challenge is, the bottom of the gauntlet is at a mile above sea level or close to (Denver, the Mile High city). The top is closer to 12,000 ft above sea level. When the truck hit the 42 miles an hour it was closer to the 12,000 elevation and a 6% grade. I've driven up it in vehicles without a trailer and they struggle to get up it. Semi's can be constantly seen going 15-20 MPH up it. It's intense.Lmao, to all the nay sayers about this rig and towing, I'd say it did pretty damn well. Sure it dropped to 42mph at one point during an 8 mile difficult stretch of road a mile above sea level.
They said it braked too many times, needed towing mirrors and a brake controller.
To 95%+ of buyers it'll do just fine.
If you want a tow only vehicle get an f250 super duty diesel.
If you want the most off road capable, only convertible truck that can occasionally haul up to 7,000 lbs, or haul 5,000 lbs all day long, this is the truck. At least for me it is.
oops, the title of that thread sucks and is misleading,Actually Yes, discussion here Sir https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/...posting-ike-gauntlet-video.16576/#post-247485
But...they didn’t have any plywood in the bed so it is disqualified! It exceeds my towing expectations.
they also didn't have any plywood in that trailer, just a big water tank, LAME!But...they didn’t have any plywood in the bed so it is disqualified!
so the JT did just fine with 7,000 lbs?I said this in another thread too but I like to hear my own voice so I'll say it again. I have made that climb more than a few times and it never fails that I will pass multiple tractor trailers running 30-35 mph with their flashers on and fan running full velocity. That is a long, steep and very high mountain interstate.
Looks like a plastic rivet from the factory that didn't break off flushAnyone know what the Schrader valves at the top of the wheel wells (easily seen when nathan is measuring the squat) are for, I'd assume airbags but they dont mention anything about airbags
It broke a sweat but it did fine. It made it to the top without overheating at maximum rating.so the JT did just fine with 7,000 lbs?
