As always, the Mojave 4H rear locker was not revealed to the test team! Maybe if it was not hidden in the ESC Full Off it would be better known…

I feel like they did the towing test with the wrong model Gladiator. Why not get a max tow or rubicon? Feels a little biased.
They really can't cherry pick a Gladiator setup for each test. You have acceleration, max speed and braking among other things to consider. I don't think I would have chose the Mojave for the test, maybe the sport max tow or Rubicon would have been better.

Still fun to see the comparisons they did.

Hello all. I am on my 2nd Gladiator. The primary reason is there off road capabilities. I have not seen the off road portion of this series but I am anxiously waiting. I traded a 2021 F150 4x4 for this one and off road the Gladiator is hands down the better of the two.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the series.
There will always be some who complain that such things are favoring one make or another, or that they should have used a Rubicon or TRD Pro or Raptor instead what they had.
It's Gladiator versus, and these new trucks are going make a huge dent in the already sliding Gladiator sales numbers. These companies are redesigning and innovating, while Jeep is adding a bigger screen, new interior colors, and decals.

My Mojave has been great, and a lot of fun, but its days are numbered.
I support your decision to purchase something other than a Gladiator but I don’t support you leaving this forum. You are too valuable of member and I enjoy reading your post. And please keep in mind, I am not considered a nice person so I guess this was my one nice act for the year!

I would have thought the Chevy would have won because of the 430tq. Ford has had the fastest full size trucks for a while now so they know how to get performance out of their trucks.
I don't remember what the exact weight was, but the Colorado was surprisingly heavy for a low to mid level trim compared to the Ranger which is pretty light.

What's a little nuts is a F150 SuperCrew 5.0 or the F150 Raptor (35) is around the same curb weight as a JTR or Mojave.

Yep. It's not part of this current comparison but TFL did some towing tests early on with a '20 JTR.

I think the Colorado was nearly the same weight as the Gladiator and the others were hundreds of pounds lighter.

One thing I always get out of TFL videos is how much time they have to spend pushing buttons and turning knobs to get into some mode or another or to activate/deactivate some feature or another. And so many of these "modes" are gimmicky. Like what is the huge difference between "mud" and "snow" modes? Will I get stuck if I drive in snow while in "mud" mode?

It’s funny you both mention that… in the last video they mentioned what we all know though, if it were strictly about off roading, the Jeep can’t be touched. It would take real abuse to break things off road on our trucks and that’s when it means the most. That’s probably why the Jeep truck is a niche market, not really a midsize truck, a lifestyle vehicle they call it. Albeit, the prices have been and only appear to be getting more ridiculous by the month.

If any of the mid sized trucks ran as good as a stock 3.5 ecoboost f150 I would be all over one of them. I watched one with an e85 tune and a few other mods run a 11.6 at 119 at the dragstrip last weekend

The Ranger Raptor runs about the same as a stock 3.5L F-150. About 14 seconds for the quarter.

I'll still maintain that the gladiator is more of a 2/5 ton truck not a midsize. The wheelbase, power and weight make it a match for a 1/2 ton of 10-15 years ago.

In a lot of ways todays Jeeps are the same as Jeeps from 30 years ago. They have more electronics and are noticeably bigger but overall not much has changed from the $16,000 94'YJ I had and the newer $60k ones. They are still Jeeps and thats why we bought them instead of any of the others.

The Canyon AT4 is still on my radar though but so is the used 2020 F150 Supersnake sitting on another dealers lot locally
