Does bestow have a deal with Jeep not to come out with an aftermarket top right away since they make the factory soft tops?

Hmmm. Probably. Seems like a conspiracy. Or maybe their capacity is all tied up producing soft tops for Jeeps?

They probably are limited in what IP they can apply in the design of another top. I would think FCA owns all of the IP

Could also be a matter of IP - FCA might restrict what IP can be used on Bestop's aftermarket tops.

I was thinking about this to cover me just in case of pop up weather over a long weekend.
I often will travel to visit family over the weekend. Leave on Friday and not come back until Sunday. I want to be able to take the top off. I’m debating if this will take care of my needs. Otherwise I’m good M -TH.

What do you all think about this option?

Don't hold your breath, I talked with the Bestop people at a Jeepfest and he said they more than likely won't be producing an aftermarket top.
