Picked up a ‘23 JTR on Halloween and absolutely love it. I’ve had numerous jeeps over the years but nothing newer than an 03 TJ. Never did make the jump into the 4 door JK’s. This thing blows me away, it’s so far beyond anything Jeep I’ve ever owned before. But the wife is having issues and complains about all the blind spots. She is uncomfortable driving it because she just can’t see well…I blame it on the 4 doors and small windows as she’s never had issues in any of our other short jeeps. I’m doing research to see what I can do to help with that. I ordered a Tazer so I can enable the turn signal backup cam feature. She seems to think that will help. Another thing I’m looking into is the digital rear view mirrors. Has anyone found one that is a complete replacement mirror that still lets you use the sun visors? Seems most of the ones I see people talking about are too big and you lose use of the drivers side sun visor. I also picked up the front grill cam that comes with the tazer to help with her parking in parking lots.

anything else you can suggest to look at?

I have a Brandmotion rear view mirror camera and really like it. It does not prevent the use of the visors, but it does barely make contact if not adjusted perfected. i have had it for almost three years and it it does not bother me.

this is one of the ones I’ve been looking at since it isn’t a clip in style. I don’t mind it rubbing the visors as long as they are still usable. How did you mount the camera on the rear? That’s another concern I have. If I mount it down by the license plate it will look odd in the mirror being so low.

Got the Wolf box 900 yeah lost the use of drivers side visor. That's what the brim of the hat and sunglasses are for.

Interested in this too. I've got an RSI Smartcap (bed canopy) that has a stupid blind spot because of a useless pass-through window.

This is probably too obvious to ask, but just in case…I have a 23 JTR and the first thing I did was raise the seat. Has she adjusted the seat height? How to do so, using the “ratcheting handle” is on pg 40 of the manual. I have great visibility.

Just an FYI with the tazer installed two taps quickly on the mute button activates the backup camera and it won’t revert back until you close it by pushing the X. I do that when I’ve got tall loads in the bed and the mirror is blocked

I have an AluCab Contour canopy on it, so it is mounted inside. I originally installed it when I had an AluCab canopy camper since there was no way to see out of the back.
current and previous installations below. Not sure how you would mount the camera to the cab, but I am sure a bracket could be worked out.

Possible it could be the deep tinted glass.

I've been using this one for the last few months. It is very clear and has a built-in video camera. Since I don't have a lot of vision out of my back rack it definitely offsets and kind of covers some of the blind spots. So far I like it. The kit is designed for the JL but I just don't use the specific jl bracket. It comes with a mount to mount it to your license plate but I just mounted it to my rack. I also wired it to my reverse lights so that it pans down when I'm backing up.

Use the code Joseph10 for a little money off. I found that on YouTube.

Any issues with it hindering the sunvisors?

Nope not at all because it's just a tad bigger than the original mirror. Oh and another thing. I set it to auto standby so when I'm not using it it goes dark yet you can still see the reflection of the glass like a regular mirror.

I second the Stinger Off Road mirror/camera. I still need to run my rear camera but I am creating a mount for my rack.

On all my vehicle I have the small 2in. fish eye mirrors on both side view mirrors
It greatly improves your viability and I always know when there are cars next to me or farther behind me
I can even see my rear tires when parlor parking
The other day I had to drive my parents car with no fish eye mirrors and it was difficult to see any thing around me. Contently turning my head to see what was there
They make different size. Just make sure it is a good quality mirrors
I think you and her will be more comfortable knowing whats there or not there
