Local dealer has this Ranger Raptor scheduled to be built in january. They are asking ADM but figure i can negotiate that as there’s no way I’m paying $15K over sticker for a mid-size truck at already inflated prices. I would just buy an F150 Raptor or keep what I have. But the midsize truck is attractive from a number of angles. What are peoples thoughts on the midsize segment in general, car seats are a reality for me so need to get two kiddos in and out.

Build spec (not my order, would be converting a dealer order to retail)
  • 2024 Ranger Raptor pkg 800A
  • 3.0 Ecoboost Engine
  • 10 Speed Auto Transmission
  • Azure Gray Metallic Tri Coat
  • Leather Trimmed Seats
  • Ebony Interior Trim
  • Floor Liners All Wthr+Crpt Mats
  • Raptor Graphic
  • Securicode Keyless Keypad
  • 17" Gray Ptd Beadlock Cpbl Whl

I always wonder about width for maneuvering around the city. The RR is 79.8”, 4” or so wider than the standard Ranger. An F150 (non-raptor) is 79.9”. So I always look at the dimensions of the RR & think then that I’d be better off in the full size. Otherwise you may need to try it with car seats. I’ve read the Ranger is roomier than other mid sizers but I’m only evaluating fit for myself & a dog. Little different use case.

Can you help me decipher what is going on with all these width dimensions?

Is it really the same width as a normal Ranger when including mirrors?

The Raptor cab is the same as the other trims. The mirrors attach to the same part of the cab on all trims so when they’re extended, it’s the same width. The only thing that’s wider is the track width and the fenders to cover the tires.

The wider dimension without mirrors is measured at the fender flares.
