My steering has been very responsive since I bought it with 49 miles on it. 1979 miles and one handed on highway. No wander no wobbles .Anyone else have good steering?

Mine has been that way from the beginning. Very little play in the steering. I can drive one handed at freeway speeds. No wander on good flat roads.

I have an Overland with stock wheels and tires. Just passed 4300 miles.

Went to the casino this weekend, 1st long xway trip (2hrs). 20mph head wind on the way there, straight rolling. 20mph crosswind on the way back, 1 handed rolling, couple corrections when passing a semi. All with cruise control set at 74. On 35's, so probably more like 78mph. Very happy

I had tight bouncy steering on my Sport with stock 31’s for the first fee hundred miles. Very annoying until I read a post suggesting to check my tire pressure. Dealer majorly overfilled all tires at 40lbs. Door spec is 36. I dropped it to 35, drives a ton better since.

Other than that, never had any if these death wobbles or dead spots I hear complaints about. Nearing 3k now.

Sport Max. 2.5" level. 35's. Bumper and winch. Soft top

I traded in a Mercedes 350 CLK for my Gladiator and I have a very winding road that I can take, at a speed within a MPH or two of the Benz, to work 3 to 4 times a week. I think the steering response is fantastic but I will say that when going down the highway very little pressure on the steering wheel can have more response than you expect. Mine is a Max Tow

I have a stock Rubi with the AT tires at 37 psi. It drives just fine. I will say it does have a distinctive feel but it's not at all loose. It drives like a solid front axle truck, not an IFS car/suv. I daily drive mine one handed in NJ (metro NYC) traffic with no worries at all.

I had mine on my first long high cruise last weekend. 85-90, one handed no problems. Tractor trailers blow it around a little but that’s about it. Sucker drives like a caddy. 35s, max tow, no lift.

The JTs I've driven handle better than my 2006 Suburban 2500. I guess that's low expectations.

Seriously though, there are enough folks complaining of loose steering that are experienced Jeep owners that I'm taking it very seriously.

I agree that loose steering has been an issue with the JL and with the JT. I , too have followed those threads and take it that there is an issue.
I just wanted this post to see how many folks had normal steering.

Definitely taking it seriously. There seems to be many that have a steering problem and FCA needs to figure out the problem and fix it. Yesterday, on my way home from work, I flew past at JT on I-75 that looked like he/she had their hands full. They were in the right lane (of 3), barely doing 60-65, and all over the road (line to line). I was only going 74 (in a 70)
