Tire Fill Alert System Availability?

Maybe I rode the short bus too much growing up, but SFTA is one fiddly system to the point I have given up using it.

My tire gauge is totally accurate. I can compare it to any other accurate gauge, including TPMS and it's always right on the money.
I've not tried my new digital gauge as far as comparing to standards but IMO - it would be just as easy to fill each tire in turn and use my gauge in the process as opposed to a horn honk.
Others of course will have differing opinions - none of them "wrong".

The Tire Fill Alert is different than this. This is just the Tire Pressure Monitoring System...
TFI will beep the horn when you're filling the tire from being low for trailing. It's settable for what you want to run on the street. I suppose it can be set to honk if you get down to a certain pressure too. Not sure of that....

It does have 2 presets so you can set a high and low pressure. Need to activate in settings then open app to set (and save) the high and low presets. Once the presets are saved I believe you just need to activate STFA in settings every time you want to use it. Opening the app just allows the presets to be updated.

Ok, here's a simple "write up".

1) Set Jeep to run position, I tested it with the engine running but I do not think that matters, as long as you're in the run position. Make sure the brake is up (manual) or in park (automatic).
2)If the icon on the apps menu is grayed out, Enable Settings->safety/driving assistance-> tire fill alert

3) Find the icon on the main screen
4)Tap the icon, and set your pressures.

If tapping the highlighted (not grayed out) icon doesn't work, then I'd see the dealership, because that should enter the pressure menu. Works for filling up and airing down.

Hill Start Assist is the only checkbox I have on that screen.

Humm how much price adjustment? I dont have it and there was no price adjustment for advertised "standard" equipment missing.

The hazards start flashing at some point after it detects that the pressure is changing. The horn does not beep until the set pressure registers on the display. Which can be a problem if the pump keeps pumping beyond the set pressure because there is a delay in the reading registering with the system. My STFA was set at 37 and my pump has a digital reading that shuts off at the set pressure, but the horn did not beep until several seconds after the pump registered 37. If your pump does not shut off automatically and you are waiting for the horn to beep you could be well beyond the SFTA set pressure before the horn beeps.

^^^ This is absolutely correct.

My hazards started blinking a few seconds before the horn sounded. I thought the hazards would come on earlier. So I stop and check the pressure when the hazards come on because of the delay when airing up.

For what it's worth, if you have a Tazer the tire fill option on that is way more intuitive and easier to use.

I don’t know how much easier it can get than the OEM version.

Probably don't have to select the app each time. And it will work in trim levels that don't have this feature from the factory. Another easy method is to use a gauge.

Unless you have a much faster compressor than I use, it's not a problem in the real world. When I disconnect the hose after the horn beeps, the sensor on the dash reads 37-38. The delay isn't long enough to make a difference. The gauge on your pump might not be calibrated exactly the same as the built in pressure sensors on the jeep either, though, so that would cause some apparent lag, when it's really just different gauges.

This could be all me and not the Jeep, but…

My tire fill app does not stay available. I’ve checked twice (waiting a couple of days each time) after I enabled it in settings. Only to find I have to enable it in settings each time I want to touch/use the app

the tire gauge is looking better and better
