I got a set of 35" Falken MTs in May 2020 for about $1400 installed after tax. $280 per tire. I picked up another new tire for $125 a year later off FB. I saw tires go on sale as low as $240 per tire.

Well, nearly 50k miles later, my 21/32" are down to about 8/32" (per tire shop doing alignment), they look lower to me.... I'll probably NEED to replace them once they hit 5/32 as they are mud terrains and worn down MTs look disgusting. The MTs don't come with a mile warranty, but the ATs are expected to last 55k miles.

So I'm looking at 2 more tires to buy (though the difference between a new tire and my current one is about 1/2" of tread, I don't think it would hurt the driveline to use the slight difference in "size"). Well, $440 per tire, plus taxes and install makes it $500 per tire. Other favorites like the Yokohama Geolandar G003s, about the same.

Sheesh. I now regret picking up 4 of the Yokos with 5k miles on them for $1000 6 months ago.

Yes. Things have gotten more expensive as of late.

I have a co-worker who hated the Patagonia’s many people are running because he considered them cheap. Well if a Nitto didn’t cost me $10,000 I’d try one.

FWIW, I paid $390 a tire for 4 of my General Grabber ATX’s in 37x12.5R17. Cheapest I can find now is $428.00c that’s an increase of 10% in just a year.

40" Nittos are cheaper than the Yokohama's I want. Still about $3000-3500 for tires, install, and taxes for a set of 5 if you have the proper wheels on hand.

Everything has gone up. Whether the actual cost have gone up or not......all the inflation talk is enough to gouge those that have expendable income to buy nice stuff. Gotta love capitalism.

My two front tires are waaaaay cupped, but I may very well be waiting til the end of the year to replace them because of cost. It’s finally getting rainy here and that may accelerate the timeline, but only time will tell.

I've been looking for some 35's. All seem to range from $350-$400 per.

I have noticed price is dependent on region/zip-code to a significant enough extent ($50/tire type difference)

I am selling my 35s for $200/tire. But they are for 16" rims.

I will caution people that are actually going to use their gladiator off road, to stay away from the Patagonia's . They are the worst wet weather tire I have ever seen on the trails. You definitely get what you pay for.
Last wet wheeling trip I was on, we ended up having to winch this guy out numerous times. He couldn't even make it up an off camber dirt road without sliding down hill. Meanwhile the rest of us on 6 different brands and types had zero issues.

That's still almost $100 cheaper/tire than my Maxxis Creepy Crawlers. But man do I love me some Crawlers.

Everyone's mileage will vary greatly. I've run them and they are a great solution for the south west... no snow though.

Looking at the Kenda Kleever. What does R/T mean. The Kleever 315/70/17 E rated are only $223.48.
Running the stock Wildpeak 285/70/17 C rated. Am I going to notice the stiffness of the E rating? I like the ride now on the Wildpeaks. Was looking at the 315 KO2 C rated but about $150/tire more than the Kleever

Same here. 37” Pat MTs and they work beautifully here in the AZ desert.
