Hello all. The wife and I are looking to invest in a trailer preferably a teardrop shape. I've looked in to bean trailers but as far as models or configurations go I'm at an overwhelming loss. Any tips or suggestions or even other trailer brands from my fellow jeep fam would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks guys. appreciated ?

My wife fell in love with the idea of the Black Bean trailer. We drove up to Salt Lake City and got the tour of the factory, then ordered the trailer in November 2022. Decided on a Gladiator as a tow vehicle for it, found our JTR at a dealership 3 hours away just before Christmas that year. This is from the day we picked it up.

This is our first camper (we did a lot of backpacking previously, wife said she is done sleeping on the ground) so I don't have any prior experience to make comparisons against. I had already installed the Timbren SES to help keep the rear of the JTR from sagging.

We went with a Little Guy Mini Max after having a 5 wide for a couple of seasons.
Moved up for the fridge and bathroom as per the Mrs.

Wife and I have had five campers over the years , none rea;ly big, with the Mojave , and down sizing things we explored a lot of options I like the tear drop campers with the outdor kitchen, but my wife being smarter then myself pointed out that many times in bad weather we got up had breakfast and sat around realxing watching the rain or snow instead of going out opening up the kitchen . I even pointed out that I don't cook often, that's when we really sat down and went through the list of wants. List was , tandem axles, rear dinette with windows all around, around 3,000 dry weight, narrow width ,and dry bathroom. We ended up with a 24' long conventional camper single axle, rear dinette and 7'6" wide, 3100 lbs. dry. We looked at many campers goggled everything , then one day my wife showed me one she found, and it just clicked!.......Jack

That black bean is cool but 60K by the time I added the cool stuff. :lipssealed:

They are nice I'll give them that. The tear drop will be nice towing as well.

As long as your good with the "trailer" being just a sleeping spot then go for it! The issue I had with the tear drops and some pop ups was they are so small that your still "tent" camping out side the trailer all the time. IF it's raining, windy, or to hot, your stuck in the elements.

And that may be ok!

Also no real bathroom at all.

Kinda like Jaxmax I had a list of wants, needs and must haves. I finally just had a trailer built to what I wanted. Came in a little heaver than I wanted but it's a tank. My rig is certainly NOT an off road trailer at all, but certainly forest service road capable.

My must haves:
Full dry bath
Ramp for atv/motorcycle
Under 20'
Under 7.5' wide
50+ gal water
Tandem

I did make two mistakes, I took off the awing at the last minuet. Should have kept it, was like $3k and I just didn't want to spend the $, dumb move. I also totally forgot dual batteries when specking it out. I do have a 175 wat solar but at night running the heater fan one battery isn't enough if it's cold.

So advice:
Make a list, both of you.
List out what you want to do with it, again you both need to do this. You may find out she wants to camp in it at Disney Land for a week every year, or you may realize you want to go winter hunting with it.
Build a few versions, see what they are actually pricing out at and reflect on your budget.
