Somewhat regretfully, I have decided to trade in my Gladiator.

I regeared from 3.73 to 4.56 about 14000 miles ago. The trade-in I’ve arranged gave me good value, but I made no mention of the upgraded gears.

1) should I disclose the gears? Would the (non-Jeep) dealership care?
2) should I leave the Tazer mini plugged in as is, or keep the gear setting and just include the Tazer with the other things (service records, manual, window sticker) I had planned on including?
3) is it worth trying to trade someone axles so I can remove the Tazer mini completely and return to stock/unmarry? I would think the labor to swap would be cost-prohibitive.

The gear setting should remain when the Tazer is removed. It is one of the changes that can be made with other tools like Jscan and AlfaOBD. You should be able to unmarry the Tazer and move it to the new truck. You may need to contact ZAutomotive to get it cleared so it can be married to the new truck.

You definitely should disclose the gearing change. I would tape a notice in the glove box, engine compartment, and owner's manual. The non-Jeep dealer won't care, unless they think they can sell it for more due to the change. Tell the dealer that they should have the truck computer checked to make sure it is still set correctly, or do it with AlfaOBD after you unmarry the Tazer.
