I am unsure of the correct wire harness to plug into the under the dash plug for the break controller . Is it Tekonsha 3014-p or 3024 adapter harness ? The trailer I will be getting weights #3000 and a single axle .Any break controller suggestion ? FYI Mopar has nothing available at this time for the Gladiator ! Thanks

It's the 3014-P. I use a Hopkins agility controller that I already had, but I'd just get a tekonsha as it'll be plug and play with the harness.

The adaptor you need will depend on the BRAND of controller you end up with. I just installed a Curt Spectrum controller so the harness was Curt #51459 (which will work with pretty much and Curt controller). Looks great, IMO and matches the other panel components. Like the Redarc, it has a separate module. Unlike the Redarc, you can install it without putting any holes in your dash if you choose too.

Yeah, that looks pretty slick. Were you able to mount it in the existing 12v outlet hole (without having to drill it out)?

No drilling was needed, thought the 12v outlet is a pain in the rear to remove.

was the adapter harness plug-n-play? I'm liking this option more then the Redarc because it doesn't have the brand all over it like the Redarc, if for nothing else.

Yes, the harness was straight plug and play, no wire swapping.

I just spoke with Curt they say the plug 51459 doesn't work on the Gladiator, but is made for cherokee. I don't doubt you, but why wouldn't they say it fits both? Surely they know about the JT? I also read that there is a slight error when using the adaptive cruise control. Any experience with this as well? Thanks

Well, I've had zero issues, but then again, I don't have the adaptive cruise. I did not use the Curt website to find the part #, I got it using e-trailer's website.

I have the Curt 51457 saved in my Amazon cart. It is supposed to work on the Wranglers and RAM trucks. I'm guessing it will work for the Gladiator when I'm ready to buy.
