2020 Jeep Gladiator Overland.

Thursday, note a cable company truck fading into my lane, the driver leaning hard in his seat, to the right.

He's way across the line, I swerve almost off the road.

Imagine, 110 mph or so combined impact.

Barely miss him, but his large mirror, hits mine, and it explodes.

A long story, cutting it short.

Friday morning ordered a replacement mirror from MOPAR based on my VIN.

Picked it up today.

Installed today.

There's a triangle in the upper left-hand side of the mirror, which the original did not have.

WHATISIT?

An indicator of a replacement part?

Or an update to replacement mirrors.

Thanks folks!

That triangles for Blind Spot Monitoring notification. If you didn’t have one before you over paid, guessing by a lot, and they got you the wrong mirror. Powered or manual mirrors?

Ordered by VIN.

Powered with defrost.

Surprised how cheap the mirror was.

Thanks for the reply!

They should be even cheaper then because they aren’t supposed to have the monitors built in

Blind spot warning - I didn't get that option on my 2020 Overland, but my wife has them on her 2021 Sahara. Yep, she drove my truck on and off for a year and then wanted a Jeep of her own!

If he paid around $100 I think they just sent the wrong one.

Yes but that light cost money, may not be much, but certainly not free. And also very true couldn’t tell you how many we’ve had of those come in over the past few months. Make sure that part number is checked with what’s on the box and what’s on the order

There is no sensor in the mirror, only the indicator light.

$142 bucks, with tax. I was expecting much worse. Too I was surprised it took one day to get, I thought it would be out of stock, or I'd have to wait a while. I love my Jeep, yet visibility is not a strong point, a bit of a challenge driving without one.

Talking to the parts guy about how reasonable the price was.

"It's a Jeep, mirrors get whacked off all the time, Jeep was smart enough to make them easy to replace and affordable."

My last vehicle, a replacement mirror was $400+, and a pain in the tookus to replace.

Yeah, you got charged for the BSM mirror. As far as I can tell the regular mirror is around $100, at least online. Dealer may charge more.

Either way, you are correct I've always had full size trucks with tow mirrors and those are typically $200 on up for one. Granted they usually have lights and extend, etc but still hurts to replace.
