Attended a JAA yesterday. Really nice time with lots of Jeeps, lots of talking about Jeeps, good Jeep people, and some off-roading. Pretty much what you would expect.

Loved everything about this Rubi. It was one of their display vehicles. I have been shopping for something other than black wheels and really liked these but I think some of the stock wheels are a little heavy. Might keep an eye on the marketplace for a set of these.

About 30 Jeeps in attendance. Lots of Jeeps parking next to Jeeps.

On literally the very first ‘obstacle’ a Wrangler died. They stalled it when the Jeep in front of them stopped in an unexpected place mid-hill, and unfortunately the starter chose that moment to quit working. They backed it down the hill in neutral and since it was a manual trans, several of us gave them a push so they could restart it and get it back to the parking lot.

The people in the broken Wrangler scored a jackpot though when the hosts from Jeep gave them a brand new red JT Rubicon so they could continue enjoying their day. The next hill had a section to the left that required lockers to climb so they were first up that side. All of us open diff people had to go up a different, less technical climb.
This is me on the easier side.

I thought the Scrambler roll bar looked pretty cool on the Gladiator. The owner was great to talk to.

I hope someone explained to the folks that stalled they could have popped the clutch in reverse and started it…

I think they were brand new and already pretty nervous about being stuck on a hill like that. It wasn’t crazy steep but the iPhone pic makes it look less steep than it was. One of the instructors brought it backwards down the hill for them.

Well, the important thing was they stepped out of their box, experienced new things and enjoyed themselves.

thanks for that info. I just searched the forum for Mopar slotted wheels and it looks like I just missed out on a decently priced set of the exact wheels. Sold last month. Sold: North Carolina Mopar slotted wheels

I need to spend more time here figuring things out. I had intended to paste the link, not the text. I also had a couple of decent videos from Friday but I’m apparently not uploading those correctly either.

Did they happen to share when the 2023 events would be scheduled and released?
