Today we received our 2022 Rubicon Diesel Gladiator. We ordered this back in December of 2021 along with a Turtleback trailer which should be ready in April. Since we ordered the jeep, we have been receiving the first round of modifications and our build will begin tomorrow. I have owned many Jeeps in the past and having this diesel motor was a great experience driving the truck today. We have quite a few things being done and I will try to post pictures along the way. I posted the sticker instead of listing the options we are starting with. I really love the quilted leather seats and were pleased they allowed us to get them.

I don't have trout in my name but my JT will be used to get me and my fly rod(s) into fly sippin' country. Good looking truck, can't wait to see what you do with it.

Wow that is so early compared to us. We are fishing frozen lines and fighting icy shores in April. Northern NH and Maine we are end of June into July for the Hex hatch. Best time of the year!

I’m exicted for my first fly season. Got my first outfit last fall, but haven’t touched the water yet. In Bucks county.
This time of year would be a tough start because you'd be fishing midges or real small blue winged olives but hold tight for the spring and you'll entice them with some good dry flys and then you'll be hooked. After the trout get tired of dries you can start learning nymphing techniques. I'm in lehigh county, let me know if you want to get out sometime.

Yeah, I went to college in Maine for a year and that one winter was a surreal experience. Makes it tough to be a fly fisherman when the water is hard 8 months out of the year.

When it opens April 1st It still can be pretty cold. We still have to head out for tradition though. The chunks of Ice floating down the river can make it a challenge sometimes and the guides and lines freeze up pretty often, but it still beats working!

Got the bed sprayed skipping the tailgate as the modification coming will cover that entire inside. Drove the jeep about 75 miles and brought it over to Steve's Jeep Country. They have built Jeeps for me in the past and will most likely be working on it for a few weeks this first round. I will try to post updates along the way.
