For those of you running 35” and bigger tires, what jack are you carrying in the truck for switching out a flat? I know the factory jack won’t swing it.

I haven’t tried it on this jeep but put the jack under the axle so that you are jacking the tire off the ground. Instead of the suspension before the tire comes off the ground.

I kept the factory jack and added a platform made specifically for the jack. Now if it works, I have no idea. Hopefully I won't ever have to use it.

I am not an expert 4 wheeler. Not even close. But I've been working on cars of some sort for most of my life.

I'm also cheap.

It would seem to me that a Harbor Freight racing jack in one of the larger capacities, mainly because they go higher, and a few pieces of lumber would be reasonably priced, safe and effective.

I'm thinking a 6x6 and an 8x8.

Bottle Jack is the way to roll my friend. I have a 5 ton with extensions & a 1 & 1/2" thick plywood for it as a base. It is 40 years old and has recovered many a Jeep going back to my high school days.
I realize the benefit of a bottle jack is that they dont' move laterally as they go up. But can you get one with any significant extension beyond just a few inches?

Stock jack is probably fine. Don't know for sure, haven't checked with mine on 35s.

My TJ on 35s could use the stock jack no problem.

HiLift (mounted on bed rack) and I've also got Mopar's stock jack lift block (4.5") under the rear seat to use the stock jack when possible. Love the versatility of the HiLift/farm jack but I had it roll over while having my old 4Runner in the air so I only use it when necessary.

Assuming you're talking about the orange 4.5" mopar block, it works like a champ. I keep the threads on the scissor jack overly greased, goes up quite easy.

Yes, that would be correct. That is good to know.
