I actually just did a 2.5" EVO lift with the black King 2.5 EVO-spec shocks over the holiday weekend. Previously I had installed the AEV 2 inch spacer lift and just wasn't happy running on preloaded springs.

I gained 2" in the front and 1.5" in the rear over the AEV 2" spacer lift so 4" in the front and 3.5" in the rear over stock.

I knew there would be a significant increase in height so I added Metalcloak front and rear track bars to recenter the axles and Clayton Offroad swaybar links (those things are kind of dinky and may upgrade to a heavier duty set in the future).

I love it. The springs are a little softer than the stock Mojave and the King Shocks seem to be badass. The ride is great. I have Cooper STT Pro's 315/70/17's and, although I think 37's would look good but I'm super happy with how it turned out.

Oh and if you zoom in on the front shocks you'll notice the reservoirs are held to the main shock with hose clamps. The folks at King forgot to send the mounting hardware and are overnighting them to me today. Desperate times call for interesting solutions.
Just to be sure I’m reading this correctly. You gained 4 and 3.5“ with is kit ? I currently have 2Aev spacer now but I want more height. Thanks

Yessir. Now that was right after installing the new springs, they will settle in a bit with time. I'd say it has gone down between 1/4" to 1/2" but I do have quite a bit of weight added to my JT. I also moved up to 37's and the lift height doesn't look so dramatic anymore but it is still there.

The difference in height between the AEV spacer lift and the EVO springs (or any 2.5" spring-based lift kit I would imagine) is dramatically different. From what I can tell and many have expressed on this forum, most manufacturers understate the amount of lift you will get. They all seem to take their hight-increase measurements from different spots on the jeep.

Thanks!

I didn't necessarily have to use different shocks. EVO sells 2.5" extensions that will allow you to re-use the factory Fox Internal Bypass shocks, which would probably be great. I went with the Kings because I liked that they are valved specifically for the EVO springs. They ride great but so did the Fox's. What I will say is that the Kings have drastically more travel than the Fox's. I was pretty shocked how little downtravel the Fox front shocks had when I removed them but I know they aren't necessarily designed for that.

The bumper is the Rugged Ridge Arcus. I love it. Was looking for a bumper in between stubby and mid-width that would keep the factory fog lights and this one was it. The only criticisim I have is that the finish on it isn't that great. I may take it off one of these days and have it powder coated.
I’m considering the 2.5 evo kit that uses the stock Fox shock. Anyone else running it

I have a 2021 Mojave that is completely stock. I requested a quote from a local shop for re-gearing (5.13) and a lift to accommodate 37” tires. They recommended the Skyjacker G301MPELT kit. The kit seems basic and possibly inadequate for maintaining proper geometry. Has anyone else used this kit?

We had Synergy 2" springs installed, they came out exactly 2". They are on a Mojave.

Love the ride!!! Quick question for you, For the King Shocks on the Mojave, did you have to purchase a bushing adapter for the front bolts? I just purchased these, but I'm not too sure if I need to purchase bushing adapters to fit the front bolts, or the king misalignment kit sold for the Mojave. Thanks!

Just from my experience and what I have witnessed firsthand, depending on purpose and budget, I would steer a little to the right away of SJ. I recommend MC for the Mojave, and Clayton.

For my lift and upgraded 1-ton steering from Synergy, I paid about $6k, but when I had installed a cheapy lift on the Mojave, it cost me an additional $$$ to remove everything, and there went $1.5k down the drain. (Was quoted $2600 for a regear to Yukon 5.13s)

If you're going to do it, do it right and learn from my mistake. It will save you money, hassle, time, and a headache in the future.

Yes…you will need the misalignment adapter kit. When I received my King shocks from EVO the ”standard” bushings were already installed. The lower bushings are the correct size. Simply pop out the pre-installed bushings on top and install the Mojave bushings.

Pro tip that I wish I had known…put the lip of the pre installed bushing in a vice and use a rubber mallet or dead blow hammer to gently tap them out. I’m not going to admit to the stupid method that I tried. King customer service is fantastic if you have any questions.

Having an AEV 2 inch Mojave lift kit put on…I’m also adding Clayton lower front adjustable control arms as well as Steer Smarts front & rear track bars. Moving up to 37’s (Nitto Recon Grapplers 37x11.5x17) lighter than my current 35 Ridge grapplers. 4.88 regear as I don’t tow anything & no extreme off-roading when I go. Am I missing anything? Thank you in advance for any validation or feedback!

You are the man!!! Thank you so much for your feedback and insight bro!

Thanks for the pro tip as well! How many clicks are you running on all four? This will help give me a foundation on where to start with adjustments. Thank you!

Have you considered the AEV Geo correction brackets? I recall when I was doing research with the AEV kit, I saw a lot of people chime in about the correction brackets, but I definitely would like to have someone else who has experience with that chime in.

I added this to mine to help maintain solid control in the steering. Synergy Sector Shaft Brace (This would probably be more of a compliment to the steering)

If I may ask, why did you prefer the 4.88 over the 5.13? I've been looking into doing the same, but just been getting mixed opinions about both, but I would definitely like your insight on the 4.88.

Thanks!

Disclaimer…I‘m no expert not even close lol but here goes…
I split time between North Georgia & SW Florida we have a home in each location so that’s a lot of time on I-75…Also SW Florida is extremely flat like zero hills except for overpasses. In addition to spending Several hours of researching, asking questions on my own & the following below:

-I don’t plan on towing anything with my Gladiator…like ever

-My Mojave is my daily/primary driver/vehicle

-Trail rides off-road but no extreme off road & very limited rock crawling (if any)

With all of the above & in talking with several experts I trust it would seem I fit the 4.88 profile some even said 4.56. As I stated the 37s I’m adding are skinny & lighter than my current 35s that’s how I came to going with 4.88

i currently have a steer smarts sector shaft brace & eventually plan to add a Steer Smarts Tie Rod & Drag link…once that’s done I really hadn’t considered doing much more to the suspension that what I’m getting ready to do…but this is something for me to think about…

So you are telling me these are 35" on this beast? Damn maybe I won't go 37" and just do 35". What are your rims and specs ?
