Hey all,

Got me Gladiator 1 week ago and slowly been learning all it's functions. Love it except for this...
Curious if anyone has had issues/thinks the apple car play gps function sucks like i do?
It seems like it should have more volume adjustments. I've read online and think i'm doing everything I can.

The volume is not always as loud as I want. I adjust the GPS volume when they are speaking directions like i'm suppose to, but it maxes out at "25". That would be fine if the radio would mute completely when directions are being spoken but the radio volume just gets lower and then I sometimes don't hear the directions. Also, it seems it only comes out of one speaker, again there should be a setting where the music/talk/whatever stops and then the directions play on "all" speakers??!!

Any thoughts/ideas?
Thanks!

posted in different thread first but copied here cause this is where i should have put in the first place

Have you turned up the volume at the source (on the phone)?
I have the internal NAV volume at 15, and usually keep the radio at 11.
With my phone, it will only set the volume to a certain level, and then you have to override the warning about damaging your hearing to get it louder for bluetooth audio.

i tried making sure the phone volume was up and when on car play it doesn't really do anything.

It’s not just the phone or uConnect volume. Waze and Google maps have their own volume settings.

In Google maps settings, under Navigation > Guidance Volume.
In Waze settings, under Voice & Sound > Sound > Volume.

Thanks for the info, did already try the settings and did not help.
