Anyone else had the screen freeze or reboot itself?
I've had it happen 3 times now after 5000 kms, so not happening a lot, but still happened.
Any comments would be appreciated. It's a pain when using the sat NAV and it happens.

Normally mine just won’t connect to the satellites but this morning I had the freeze and reboot. I’m starting to think my radio needs replaced.

Maybe @JeepCares can chime in

This is happening to me as well. I usually leave the unit on Sirius and it sometimes just gets stuck. And will stay trying to connect to Sirius until it crashes and reboots. No audio when it happens.

I took video with my phone of it happening. I’m not sure who to call. My dealership isn’t the best.

mine has done it several times, but seems to have made it thru the awkward puberty stage and settled in.
NOW if I just jinxed it and it starts doing it again, I'm gonna be pissed... :swear:

same for me. The radio also seems to flicker and the screen looks like a TV with bad reception for a brief moment.

I also have taken video. One of the freeze and reboot and one of the “Please wait . . . . .” Going on for a long time. Since this isn’t an active topic I’m feeling it is not common and our radios may have something wrong with them. I haven’t been to the dealer about it yet but maybe that’s next

Hi RusselltheGladiator and MomsSpaghetti,
If you are unable to rectify this yourself and decide to visit your dealer, please feel free to send our team a private message and we'd be happy to add additional assistance.

Only freeze reboot I've seen in 7k miles is pulling out of a spot and rear camera came on. Then I put it in drive and the camera stayed on and the screen was unresponsive, then it rebooted and life was normal.

Mine does the whole "Please Wait" thing and then reboots as well. It comes in waves though. It'll be fine for a few days, then I'll hit a rough patch where it'll be every time I turn on the Jeep. Sometimes, it can take up to 4 or 5 minutes to hear anything from the SXM. Kind of annoying!

I just made an appointment to get mine looked at. Goes in tomorrow at 10am. They are also going to center my steering wheel since it was slightly off center. It was a minor annoyance but I figured since it was in for the radio I might as well get that corrected

Just got back from the dealership. They ordered me a new radio. I didn't ask what was wrong with this one, but obviously more than reinstalling the software

My 7" Uconnect froze yesterday for the first time and rebooted itself while i was listening to regular FM radio...just passed 1k miles...hope it doesn't turn into a chronic issue but seems like others are having this problem.

@CAL32 I've only got 850 miles or so on mine and it's happened 4 or 5 times now. Hopefully I can get it figured out here soon
