Does anyone know where I can download the latest UConnect update?

I know of the site where I check with my vin number but it says I’m up to date but it doesn’t give the option to download it.

long version - my UConnect system keeps crashing leaving me with no radio and no control over my hvac. I’ve taken to the dealer a couple times and they said it just needed reflashed and everything was good. It’s out again now and I’d like to be able to just do it myself rather than take it to the dealer and leave it for 4-6 days for a 15 minute job.

To my knowledge, there has not been a downloadable to USB update available from the Uconnect website in quite some time even though there is dealer TSB's saying such updates are available.

I think part of the issue at least with the 8.4 radios is that there is a two step update process to get to the current revisions if you have older software. Mess it up and the radio gets bricked. So it seems to be a dealer only thing for the time being unless a OTA update is pushed to the 8.4 radio.

One caveat reported by some who order the 8.4 GPS Navigation update, get a USB with instructions on how to update before loading the GPS Navigation update software. There is no guarantee that USB update they include is the latest and greatest, just enough to update it for the navigation software update.

My Mojave just received the OTA update for Uconnect. I sat in a Safeway parking lot, transmission in Park for about 25 minutes while it did the download. I didn't want to risk interrupting the update. I didn't notice anything different or world changing.

Mine was automatic OTA and downloaded this last weekend to my Jeep. I got a notification and it downloaded. The screen said to make sure you park and allow it to run so it does not get interrupted. It was pretty fast.

The only option to get a USB update is to order the map update mentioned. They provide instructions to report the current version loaded on the head unit when you place the order.

How can you tell what version you have? I have never seen an update for my 21 Mojave.

On HVAC controls, press the temp up/down and front window defrost keys at the same time for a few seconds and the radio will go into dealer mode. Select the radio part information and it will list the revision.

Car Play stopped working on all phones and all cords just after the Uconnect lady told me to delete the old app and use the new. I get the "Device Not Supported". The phones and cords work CarPlay on the car, but not the Gladiator. Worked on it for a few hours and decided to reset it and now I think I might have taken it back to 2020.

The software version I still have is: 22.42.11
The Application Version is: USA-ASO-8.4-JR-34.32.0-20221017-J0RM

Can someone tell me that these are the right numbers, I cant find the most recent update on Uconnect.
Thanks

Yours needs to be updated. The last TSB I have on it says the application version should be 40.1 where yours is at 34.32.0.

My last OTA update pushed mine to 40.12.0

Keep in mind this is for the 8.4 radio and not the 7.0 radio

Thank you for that information. When I go online and put my Vin in Uconnect says I’m up-to-date. But I reset it earlier today so I must’ve taken it back to the old original software. And Uconnect must be looking at what they have on record. As a result, it’s not going to give me an update, but I have to call someone at Uconnect.

I mentioned it in my first post on this thread that the Uconnect website is not reliable in keeping you updated or stating what you actually need. To my knowledge, I have not known of anybody getting a downloadable file to USB update from the Uconnect website for our Gladiators, it has always been a dealer visit or an actual OTA push to get it done.

Resetting the radio does not change the version of software loaded on it. It does cause the radio to phone home and reconfigure itself. It can take up to 24 hours for normal operation to return after a reset.
