How much space do you lose as compared to the standard "bin"? I could pick this up today but am researching how to get the locks out etc...

Yes still got it. I could potentially meet you halfway. DM me if you're still interested.
Not sure what a standard bin comparison would be. But it fills up the entire underseat area and with the thickness of the bin, you do loose a little bit of space.
