Just bought it today as a side project to keep me busy while I’m not busy.... lol. The RV cant be driven or used in some places we want to go.
Custom build from the previous owner. Started as a city works radar trailer. 5x5 hubs with Jeep wheels/tires. Three lockable compartments. Custom RTT rack. Allows spare tire to be mounted on the front.
Wish list is Dometic fridge/freezer slideout with maybe a sink. It will need some form of power so I’m looking a solar setup with inverter. Rear swing out door with drop down table for cooktop. 270 bat wing awning and some form of light set up. Possibly another storage bin up front to house the batteries and inverter. Im excited, picking it up tomorrow.

So does that trailer have a dead axle? That may leave something to be desired trailering.
Should be pretty easy to set up with a torsion axle after reworking the fenders for clearance.
The four jackstands are pretty sweet. Overall looks really stout too.
Whats it weigh right now?

Yeah Timbren is on the list too. I need to also rework the fenders as the clearance looks tight. No idea on weight but I will get a better idea in a few hours. I have my original Sport S wheels and tires, about 1” smaller than these tires so that might help with clearance. Looking at a 12gal or 20gal water setup too. Possibly a diesel heater as we like to winter camp. Once I see it and take some specs I will have a better idea what Im working with.

Since my last post Ive done some upgrades. Added my take off stock Gladiator and painted them flat black. Mounted the spare on the front hitch, under mounted as I need more hitch weight.
Next was a week long paint job. Stripped and sanded the trailer. Using rattle can Kubota Orange for the sides. Fenders, lowers and front are done in rubberized undercoat. Top was just painted with basic flat black. Next was adding the Black Boar outside storage box with the 5lb tank. Temporary nylon strap until I find something more permanent. Inside mounted Black Boar storage bin fits the stove, griddle, fire extinguisher and propane line. Fuel cans were already mounted from original owner.
Added LED rear tail lights and upper red rear side markers. Interior lights are simple stick on touch lights.
One of my favorite additions was marine grade carpet to the rear compartment. Measured 19x and cut once. Perfect fit and turned out great. Also added a rear bamboo work prep area with locking drop down stainless steel hinges. Stores away nicely and locks in place well.
Added cargo was compliments of BougeRV waterproof bag, I believe 115L capacity. Stores light soft items, pillows, sleeping bags, mattresses and blankets. Also camp chairs fit nicely.
Last and most recent additions were quick fist clamps for my splitting axe and hatchet. Mounted to the front cargo box door. Lastly was todays addition on the Overland Vehicle Systems awning. 4.6’ x 6.4’ to the rear area. Our camp kitchen setup is next.
Not added to the trailer but an addition none the less is the Jackery 240, powers our camp lights and keeps the phones charged.
Future plans: Jackery 1500wh with 100/200 watt solar panels. Fridge slide and fridge 44qt or bigger. Timbren axle less 2000lb axles will be a winter project. Possibly some type of diesel heater thats mobile if we winter camp.

Today was the front and rear decals that my wife ordered. I also want add Topography decals to the sides. Also forgot to mention I added a Noco plug if we camp where there could be power. The Jackery supports pass through charging, so no need to use solar.

Seriously love this build. Would love to get my hands on a little trailer to build off of like that. Anyone know of a source? Looks like the original builder sourced a city works trailer. I will have to be on the lookout.

I'd like to see more pics and details of your stations (water, electrical, cooking, etc.) I'm in the process of planning mine out currently. Love the look of yours, sadly mind is bed lined black and I don't think it would be worth the hassle to remove it.

Get on Facebook marketplace there are some good ones for sale. I got mine with a 4 person tent for 4,500.

Always loved that colour combo. My custom enduro race bike is also OB. I actually wanted to bed liner it then paint it. In hindsight I should of. Resist rock chips and it hides paint imperfections too. Could be a winter project to clean up the paint some more. Power so far is minimalist with the Jackery 240 and Eco-Worthy 120watt panel. Pulls 64 watts in full sun no problem. Took just under 2 hours from 61% to 100%.

i threw up a photo of the GCI camp kitchen with sink. Lots of prep space and its nice to have a sink. 5 gal jug with battery operated pump with grey water below.
