Traded in my 2020 Sport S Max Tow today, with just over three years behind the wheel.

Picked up a 2022 Overland in snazzberry.

I can -finally- stop regretting not having the proximity unlock function :)

Yes. I put the key in my pocket and don't touch it again until I return home
Yeah, we have it on the Mojave, first vehicle ever had it on, I guess I could take it or leave it, 55 years of putting the key in the ignition gets kind of habit forming I guess

Is it that great?
Every time I've had my hands full and had to juggle things to grab my keys, it made me grit my teeth.

It was probably such a sore spot because I didn't understand the difference between the "remote keyless entry" and "proximity remote keyless entry" until the day I picked up the Max Tow and it didn't have the proximity handles. So was always a burr under my sadle :)

Agree- Bought my wife a '21 JL with the proximity function and it is nice not to have to fish out the key in the dark.

I have the proximity key with my Sport S Max Tow.
From my recollection, it wasn't available on the first round of 2020 Sport S Max Tow... There wasn't any technical reason for it, but FCA wouldn't let the packages be added to each other for some reason on ordering... It was just salt in the wound when it became available down the road :)

Got real used to prox key on my MKZ and my K900. Had to do without it for 6 months with the willys before I got the mojave.

Definitely not one of those things you care about if you haven't had it but once you get used to it, it spoils you.

My Rubicon didn't come with it, but it was nothing that $326.81 couldn't fix. Ordered PN#PSVENTRYJTBSM from MoparOnlineParts.com and spent an hour installing them. Love having them back. Congrats on the beautiful new Snazzberry JT!
It was factory on my 2020 Rubicon, and it was factory on my 2017 Volvo. I havn't had an ignition key in almost 6 years. Don't miss it at all.

Remote start has been the best option as well. I use it every single day.

I just figured out the person with the fob doesn't have to touch the handle to open it. My wife was standing beside me and opened the door Saturday. When I asked her how she did that and told her the fob was in MY pocket she said, "Silly, do you think some electrical force travels from the fob to your hand?" It's about proximity. :)
