I’m looking to get into a Raptor as well. Just tough to take a $15k hit over 2 years. We’ll see
I should have never sold mine - problem is I live out east and have to go into NYC every few weeks. Raptor I had a year and put 16K miles on it. The Gladiator 12K miles in 10 months and that's with me driving a Defender part time around here. Miss it dearly but don't miss 30 gallon tank having to be filled up.

The car market is all over the place right now. A lot of people have a lot of negative equity if they bought something in the last 2 or 3 years, interest rates are high, there are discounts/rebates on new vehicles. Used prices are all over the map.

If you like what you have it might be a good idea to keep it for a while and see what happens.
Folks who didn’t pay cash are also likely upside down on their loan…which is a whole different issue…

Well I just traded in my '21 WIllys and its value severely changed from one weekend to the next. Carvana's purchase price changed 4K in one week and CarMax was going to give me less than the dealer. I removed as much of my mods as I could and am selling them on Facebook marketplace and will try here on the forum. Loved my Jeep, but because of medical reasons had to give it up.

I was told that with Stelantis discounting so heavily, getting what I think it was worth, was not happening. But hey for the 4 years that I had it, the vehicle was a blast.

Good Luck.

That’s my situation. Owe $54k on a truck I could probably get $45k out of. Doesn’t matter since it’s under my company and I’ll just keep it as a beach car at this point and dump my classic defender - I’ll save money there but don’t think how Jeep handled their pricing and incentives is right

It’s not just Jeep with the rebates and incentives, it’s also the dealerships with market adjustments and add-ons. Getting people to pay an extra $5-10k in mark ups and another $2-3k with ads-ons like paint protection etc. the customer ends up paying $10-15k over msrp plus tax and title rolling it all into a loan. The walk out with a $75 loan on a $55k vehicle.

now they are super upside down. Jeep offering big rebates and incentives just compounds the problem

If a mojave x was selling near list a year ago at 68k and new left over JTMx can be had for 48k today (got mine just over 50k in dec) that 68k truck a year ago might be worth 40k today( used miles etc) it's brutal. Keep it.

The moment I saw the Mojave x package drop by almost $5k I knew I was keeping this for a long time well before the incentives started happening. Reality is - at 10 months old I shouldn’t be swapping cars anyways. Will get rid of my defender in the spring and gladiator will be my around town / drive onto the beach truck for a long time.

If selling yourself vs trade id say $35-38?

unfortunately, just posted about this - keep really screwed JT owners with new pricing. My 24 Mojave x I paid $68 for 10 months ago is now $64k with their change around packages - and now with incentives saw them for $10-15k less. If I wanted to get out of it today doubt I’d get more than $45-47
I've seen Majove X's going for $47K new.

Yeah i think many of us are underwater, I was thinking of getting a Nighthawk or another Max Tow in Hydro about trading my Anvil max tow (color sick lol miss my Hydro) but I don't want to carry over too much negative equity. Thinking of maybe making a few extra payments to get in down.

I am happy to say there is no other vehicle I would want to trade/sell my JT for. No other new or recent vehicles interest me. It is not the perfect vehicle but none of them are. The more mods and tweaks I do to it to make it suit me better, the more I want to keep it.

I don’t disagree. I do miss my raptor for comfort and cars I’ve had IE rs6 or SVR miss for commuting / speed but for around town and beach it’s great.

My ‘23 rubicon stickered at $61K. I paid $40 last August. Today, after 6,000 miles, Carvana offer is around $38K

When I was growing up, the expectation was that the vehicle value was half what you paid once you drove it off the lot. You drove the vehicle until you could no longer afford to keep it running, and then bought another one. Getting a new car every few years was for people with money, and those without got a good deal on the trades.

Even though I had planned to keep it longer, I traded mine in after 4.5 years and 57k miles. I drive a lot for work and am just over 11k miles at the one year mark. If they had not discontinued the Overland, I would have waited longer to trade.

I'm at the same place - this will stay for a long time. wife I'll swap when her lease is up and keep a "nice" car for her coming every few years. too many cars changes over past few years
