Today my vape pen fell under the dreaded space between the driver seat and center console.
Not visible ast it may have slid under the center console and the front seat rail.
Any suggestions to retrieve it? Do I need to remove the front seat or is there a short cut?
Thanks in advance.

It is not a valuable item but I just want to get it out as it has a lithium battery and I don't want to leave it in the vehicle specially when it gets hot in Vegas.

Just remember to disconnect both batteries before undoing the airbag connector when removing the seat.
I unbolted and moved the seat when doing my current trailer brake controller in this truck - made it 100% easier. The seat will move a lot with the wires connected. Never thought about disconnecting any batteries - almost unplugged the seat connector, but didn't need to in order to move it back a lot.

There are some seat and console gap fillers and some plastic storage contraptions. Thinking of getting those.

Sounds like someone is telling you to stop vaping ?

Don’t worry, I probably have 3 cigs and a dozen fries down there already. The MacGuyverism gets real when you drop your key fob down there, ask me how I know!

Heh, I dropped my dad's storage unit keys down there the other day. Already planning on pulling the seats out to clean up under there.

I dropped my key fob the a few years ago... had to unbolt the seat to fish it out... as Shadowspapa said no need to disconnect the wires

I dropped my camper shell key down there. I tried a magnetic antenna thingy. Nope. I left it there to rot since I had a spare. Eventually I had to loosen up the driver's seat bolts front and rear to do a modification and I found the key under the carpet all the way dead center of the driver's seat. I stuffed some tailgate bulb seal along the inner seat rail I had leftover while I was there and called it good. We'll see if it works the next time something falls in there. The hope is the object just hits that and goes under the seat instead of under the carpet/rail.

Good luck!

I'm running those "drop stop" seat gap fillers in all our vehicles for a number of years now. Definitely worth preventing the hassle of digging out dropped items.
