It’s headed my way tomorrow. 8-11” depending on which weatherman you watch. Can’t figging wait.
Have fun. And a little word of friendly advice. Dress a lot warmer than what I did.

Uh... pretty much any 4 wheel vehicle has 2 sets of brakes, 1 for each wheel lol. I get the point but...ya. I will admit it's usually old cars and the soccer moms in SUVs that I see spun out or off the road the most. They're usually the ones that will pass you in shitty conditions too.

Ya, same with us, they're saying 6-10" in my area. I love the fact that I have my truck and I feel confident that I can make it through most snow conditions, but I fear being confident about it then getting stuck like what happened to you. It's certainly a learning curve, never know what you can actually do until you learn what you can't do too. Glad you're all good and got out, this is the exact reason why I keep a warmer coat in my vehicles in the winter, just in case ;)

That is why I love snow tires, you can stop on ice and go.
Tires are the key for stopping in bad conditions. Abs isn't bad to have either.

I had my ah-ha Moment a while ago actually in a jlur before I bought my gladiator We had just moved up to the mountains after being a beach bum for 40 years and I’m taking my jeep out on this little road had snowed a little bit at about 3000 feet and it goes getting deeper and deeper but I figured it’s OK there’s tracks on this road somebody else I’ve been up here in a jeep well pretty soon I’m looking back I’m seeing the differential Marks ln the in the snow in the rearview mirror and I think wow this is getting kind of deep think I that guy must’ve had really big tires I was on 35s so about the time that I’m beginning to sense that I’m really struggling to make any forward progress I decide to stop turn around and after utilizing both sets of lockers and rolling it back-and-forth a bit I got to headed back down the hill and as I’m headed back down the hill here comes a razor on tracks🤪

Another option is I stopped to help a guy out in a ditch. He got himself out ironically using an old Used snowmobile track cut in two lengthwise. Put it behind the wheels And backed right out. Impressive to watch. I’m ready!
