I just read an article in Car and Driver regarding the average monthly automobile payment: $550.00. Of course this made me curious about the average Gladiator monthly payment. I know we just met and all, but.... what is your monthly payment? Length of Loan or Lease? I haven’t pulled the trigger yet but mine will be $405.00 to buy a Rubicon.

I’ll bring the average down a bit: $0 monthly payment
Hey...your payment is identical to mine! I owe more on the Baja Designs lights added to the front bumper than I do on the Gladiator.

I’m putting $20k down on my order. I expect a payment around $500 at 72 month financing

This is such a subjective category. I will say for the people with zero payment, with money being as cheap as it is to borrow, why waste it by dumping it into a depreciating asset? Put 10-15k down, take the rest, and invest it into something. Interest rates are at historical lows, so use your credit and cash to build wealth.

I'm with RV8188 on this one. I'm putting $18k down so my payments are $502/month with a BOA 60 month loan at 3.9%. I'll pay $600/month and pay it off in 48. All while the $28k still in my UBS account is making at least 7-10% interest over those 4 years.

The difference between putting $5,000 down and a much larger amount doesn't reduce the payment enough IMO to warrant putting down the large down payment.

That said, my payment is...
