Hey all, figured it would be fun to have a general wrenching/WIP thread.

I'll start: This past weekend I've been underneath our old 2005 Xterra Off-Road updating suspension and replacing the whole exhaust. Also taking the opportunity to give everything a once-over and smear grease on everything that moves.

Rear springs actually went on a while ago, then the vehicle sat while we debated putting any more money into it. But engine compression is great and it runs well so... hard for me to just get rid of it. So finishing the lift now.

Gotta love midwest salt. I was actually able to remove these studs and salvage the cat.

Rear done, front arriving next weekend:

1: didn’t like how our snow gear took up so much space. $20 later and we’ve got a nice solution.

I’m also big into fitness so have been trying to track down an affordable rower for years. Finally found this for near nothing with a dead monitor. Replaced/upgraded that along with shock cord, pulleys, bearings, spindle, chain, handle.

Currently restoring this old cast iron kitchen sink to install for the wife.
I had on what I thought was the final coat before applying the epoxy finish when my OCD kicked in and picked up on too many imperfections for it to be ready yet.
One last touch up and then I'll lay down my last white coat.

This is a porcelain covered cast iron sink that roughly weighs around 200 lbs.
I first had to remove a bunch of rust and chemically treat, then fill in all the dings, divots and gashes with bondo.
It's coming along and the wife is super ecstatic about adding this to her kitchen.

This is a father/son project with my kid. Swapping out the original 4.3 V6 to a new 5.3 GenIII V8. Someday it will be his when he shows me he's responsible enough to drive it without hurting himself.
