Ooh ok that makes sense I haven't read all of the thread about switching the fan out. Man what a steel! Nice work!
Nothing like removing warranted parts from a year old truck with 8k miles! Lol. If it breaks they'll toss a 220 on it....doubt they'd notice it's the 803AA 240a.

Yeah but what are those chances? OF all the failures I have read about, alternator failure is one thing I have not even seen discussed.

Installed a Bestop Sunrider (love it), Ironman 4x4 Foam Cell Pro shocks (fantastic value, hugely robust and perform brilliantly on and off road (definitely worth checking out for a cost-effective alternative to the mainstream)) and a tow hitch.

Then went off-roading.

How much lift did the Ironman kit give you? I've seen on some reviews that it gives almost 3 inches instead of 2, is that true? Thanks.

Finally finished installing MetalCloak Undercloak. The gas tank skid was a huge pain since my old gas skid was pretty mangled. It reuses the old skid under it, and a few holes were way misaligned. I had to use a ratchet strap to try to get things in place for the center bolt.

I went with shocks only as I'm not really looking to go higher. I believe the springs are a 50mm (1.96") but have read on Landcruiser and Tacoma forums they get nearly 3". These don't address the rake which was the other reason for me not going with the springs. shocks cover 0-2" lift and are designed to work with the springs.

Ironman USA have been very good at answering me and the team there run a Wrangler and JT.

GoRhino RB20 Runningboards - Wife said she couldn't get in without jumping, lol.
Install took about 20 minutes, solo.

Sounds good, I may reach out to them. I was mostly interested in their shocks too, but on the site they said they work better with their springs. I was concerned third party shocks may not match well. Thank you.

Drove down to PA this past weekend and bought some Rockhard sliders from @Climbhigh (nice meeting you!).

Got a chance this afternoon in between conference calls to put them in, very happy with the look. These things are stout.

Now I have the holes in my flaps from the factory sliders... May have to go with new ones.. We'll see.

These are my favorite looking ones. Unfortunately I ordered a set from quadrateck and upon installation I noticed that one side was much lower than the other. I called quadrateck and they returned them after reviewing photos and determining the brackets were wrong. Seems like some people have no issues with the brackets as I did. Do these hide body seams. I’m wondering if I should try ordering direct.

if I remember correctly, I ordered mine from Quadratec as well. I've had mine for a little while now apparently I got lucky And had no issues with any of the parts or brackets. Some of the early inventory only include 3 brackets per side. Luckily the started to include 4 later on which mine have. They do hide the seams a little bit enough for my liking. Anyway, I know some people get pretty picky about it but I think they do a fairly good job. Here's the best photos I have of mine in my photo roll without having to take new ones. Last two pics are right after installation.

Awesome! It was fun meeting you and talking about different options/mods we each have. I'm glad you are happy with the sliders...hopefully the wife will be too. Definitely can't beat the look and strength of them. No issue on install?

No, everything went smoothly. I did have to open up the 2 front holes on the pinch weld on both sides, but I was kind of expecting that.

The rear body mount bolts were not too much fun though, I had to break out my breaker bar..

We'll see how she likes the step, but for me it is really nice to have something to stand on..
