Been working on putting the brake controller in this truck and finished up the air lines for the bags.

I've been looking for the Rubicon rear steel bumper but they are rare in Iowa. There was one - sold quickly......... I've been watching CL, FB marketplace, whatever, no luck.
Last guy I contacted about one for sale - "sorry, it's sold" just like that. But then, there aren't many Rubicon Gladiators around here, either - most are Mojave or Sport or HA - dealer I got my JT from said the high altitude go pretty quickly and when I looked I didn't see any Rubicons parked out front.
it took me about 8 months to find this one. It’s a nice piece from the factory so I don’t think many people change them out. This one had some rock rash on both corners when I actually went and picked it up I was disappointed but once I got it home and realized it was just in the coating and not the metal itself I was happy.

damage can be seen here. Sanding it down did the trick. For $75 it was worth the hassle lol

Got my Pre-Runner style LED's today. Went right to work installing them. Easy peasy and took about an hour! I looked at a couple other designs before purchasing. My opinion is these are probably the best lights available. 3D printed housings for a perfect and snug fit in the grill openings. No messing with studs/washers that might loosen & rust down the road. High quality LED lamps as well. Very bright in full sunlight. Tapped into ignition source to run all the time. They almost look stock.

Air bag lines all done, MOPAR trailer brake controller installed, started putting tail gate ladder on but needed to mod one area to clear my tonneau cover latches I put on. I didn't think ahead and move the left latch a bit forward to clear the ladder so will mod the ladder instead.
Also thinking of using different screws to attach it to the tail gate - maybe rivnuts and bolts - can use fewer of them.+

Finally installed the rubicon steel rear bumper. Found it on Craigslist. Had some damage so I sanded it down and recoated it with raptor liner, new plastic pieces and good as new. All in for $150. Not bad

Also ordered 4 new Mickey Thompson Baja Boss ATs. 285/70/17. Almost went 35s but not interested in losing 8th gear. Drivability is important with this one.

Agreed. Gearing is key. I see 8th at way lower speeds than 65, and I am on 37’s. 5.13 gears though.

AEV Spacer lift and 35” Kumho MT71 tires. Still need to install my rash rings on my rims…decided I am not a fan of the olive drab colour I painted them against the sting grey. Oh, and also found out I have the r/r axle seal leak :(
