Cleaned up the dash wiring a bit. I have the dash cam wire hidden along the top of the windshield, and radar detector along the bottom. Way better than the mess of cables I had before.

Do you like that phone mount? I am entertaining getting that "x" and a ball from Carolina customs for up on the freedom panel.

Yup I've been very happy with it. It's pretty easy to get the phone in and out of, but does require two hands which can be annoying but not a big deal. It holds the phone rock solid. One quirk it does have, is that with the phone in there, the phone and arms can rotate side to side. It won't fall there by itself or anything, but you can bump it from the 12:00 position to the 3:00 position for example.

Completed quite a few things over the past week or so. Ran 12V power to the bed to a fuse panel with 8 gauge wire along with a 100 amp breaker to the battery. Now to figure out what else besides my onboard air to power with it :)

Also added the ZAutomotive front camera with their new bracket for the JT along with a Quadratec 12V accessory power port since I had the dash apart.

Finally got around to what I intended on being my first 3 mods...

Tried to order rock sliders to ship to Alaska.... big mistake. Shipping alone was almost half of what it cost online. After a friend recommended trying a local shop to fabricate, i had these fabricated. They are now off for finishing and decided using bedliner for painting. Here they are for fitting.

dealer installed a cover over the rear skid that did Not get put on at the factory.

couple glitches along the way- forgot to attach long black wire to winch. Tedious chore doing it with winch and bumper installed...:headbang:
-one foglight did not work after bumper install. Thought I messed up the harness taking it out of the factory bumper. Turns out you can insert the foglight plug backwards! :giggle:

On the plus side, I was able to figure out how to secure the Arcus bumper to more easily get the final bolts in without help.
I was able to mod the winch box brackets to allow center placement.

Adjusted my 4x4 linkage today. Since new I've had an issue with the tcase not locking into 4hi unless I pull sideways toward neutral then back into the 4hi spot, and it almost never connected in 4lo and would pop back to neutral. I haven't had a need for 4lo yet but like to go out at least once a week to a gravel lot and manipulate the tcase, swat bar, and lockers so there are no surprises when I need tgem. Found a post on the jl forum on how to adjust the lever relative to the linkage and now all is good.

Pro tip: you don't have to remove the entire center console just the boot and bezel around the 4x4 lever and the front drivers side screw, pull the lever ba k to 4hi and you can manipulate the onsole enough to get a 1/4 ratchet with short socket in to loosen and tighten the nut.
