Installed my Wouxun KG-1000g 50watt gmrs radio. Mounted the base under the driver's seat then ran power through a bank of switches I installed under the steering wheel. Face plate was mounted right above rear view mirror.
Next I put friction tape on my rock rails. Having slipped off it when it was wet was enough for me.

Installed (two screws) a bullitpoint cell phone mount. This may be overboard with three mounts. Figured 1 for my cell, one for GoPro (have to buy a camera) and one for my wife cell. Now I got to get a GoPro. My wife says she will hold her phone as she has for the past 20 plus years. What do you think?

Laid under it at 6:00am this morning fixing a body mount nut. Well worth it in the end though.

May I ask how you mounted the radio head above the mirror? I have an Icom head I may want to relocate. Thanks.

The radio face plate came with a mount that I used self tapping screws into the Jeeps removable cover behind the mirror. I did this on purpose so if I ever wanted to put it back to stock that cover looks to be no more then $30.

How’s the ride?
You’re using them more as intended with those bump stop extensions, I never tow so I actually thought of trying them without any..

So after having these wheels in the back of closet for over 3 months i finally decided to have them babies mounted up a week ago and i was so happy when i saw the truck pulling out when the tech was driving it and man oh man im happy about them,at first they were super ugly to me but they grew on me and i fell in love with them and yes they do stick out since its a -18 offset wheel

Wheel model: Black Rhino Axle -18 on stock tires

the bumps I intentionally hit today werr surprisingly nice. The rear didnt dip nearly as much and there wasn’t any harsh snap back on the rear end after the bump. Over all, initial impression, im impressed.
Also I dont feel them at all with regular road driving, at least not yet

37x12.5x17 BFG KO2 on Quadratec Morphic wheel 5.2in Backspace (+10mm Offset). Max Tow with Rubicon front springs and shocks. I put the wheels on a scale, they weigh 97.8 lbs mounted. Plenty of clearance lock to lock, I have AAL fender chop coming to give me some more fender clearance. Took it for a test drive around town and a quick highway drive, very happy! Most likely a lift soon but I haven’t decided on one yet.
