Installed PRP seat covers. Very pleased with the quality, feel and fit. Now my son wants a set for his JLUR.

Looks great! I didn’t realize you could keep the factory seat backing exposed! That just bumped seat covers to the top of my wish list. How would you rate the tweed vs pleather against water or ease of cleaning mud?

I can speak to mine. My covers were the test cut for PRP, they used my seats for the pattern for gladiators. I’ve now had them 8+ months and over 8500 miles they are like new. I’ve done a ton of off-roading with the top and doors off, I have an infant now 11 months old. The week after my seat covers were finished I left for a 21 day, 2,800 mile road trip/overland trip. At the time my daughter was 4 months old, so you can bet the back seats have seen abuse. Both tweed and leather both are doing great. I was initially worried about the tweed, but I’m not worried now. I’m positive it’ll hold up easily for 3-5 years, in which case I am sure I have gotten my money out and will replace them as needed with new prp seat covers again. For cleaning obviously the vinyl is a simple wipe, but the tweed has been nice also.

I’ve had pleather covers in the past. They are definitely easier to clean. But it can get very hot. And my wife complains about sticking to it. First time with the tweed. It’s soft, doesn’t get hot and no sticking. A little water on a towel and it cleans up pretty well. No one type is perfect. I chose comfort and looks.

He qouted me $40 for two. Are they made out of Unicorn horn tears?
They look 3D printed. I would imagine the economy to scale with that process is not there if he is actually looking to make a profit charging cheaper.

Filament has also been in short supply lately. Not sure what's going on there, but most of the suppliers recently have been out of stock. Could be they have to print using unicorn tears at this point. :)

I just noticed, you have a matching armrest. That's awesome! Is that something they offer now? I don't think it was an option when I bought mine a year ago.

Those look killer. I was sold on bartact, but PRP is looking pretty good about now. I like how the stock panel on the back stays exposed too; it looks clean, and that's plenty of space for me to mount a multi tool and a couple of small odds and ends. Personally, I think the full molle on the bartact is a little overkill.

How was the install? Anything you'd do differently regarding them?

Edit: Are they made in the U.S. as well?

Installed the RLD Canopy. Stock colors come close to matching the Stingray.

That's fine, I guess but that's insane expensive for what you get.

Got the Mountain Off-road steps installed. They help greatly for entry into the Jeep (especially for the kiddos) but to use them to exit it takes a little practice. I think it will help seat wear over time. Happy they work with the rock rails and low profile. They were a PITA to install...well...front was easy, rear steps were a challenge. Have an install write up in my build thread if interested.

Loaded up for the weekend trek. Somehow all this stuff - tools, shovel, high lift, compressor, straps, snatch blocks, jump starter, etc fit in my JKU before but it was a lot tighter. Guess I need more stuff!
