I've done that a few times with trucks, where I could have sent it off for free (or the cost of shipping it back off), but sometimes it's best just to spend the money to have it fixed locally as soon as possible. This morning i took my One piece Tom Woods rear driveshaft off because i have had vibration, now that i regeared it was at 40mph to 50. I know i have the pinion dialed in. Took it to Houston drive train dropped it off. By 11:00am it was done. Went home and installed it and it all perfect now. $95 bucks. I know Tom Woods would have fixed me up in a couple or three days but i didn’t want to be without my Jeep.
THAT is good info to know. Thanks!Note, a 6pt 14mm socket will drive the spare tire hoist.
Nice bike, I sure miss my 99 TLS...that thing was so fun and the two bother race pipes sounded so dang good.Added Baja Squadron Sports to the A Pillars. Haven't gotten to test them in the wild but if the light they throw on my garage door is any indication, they appear to be awesome.
315 is the width of the tire. The 40/50/60/70 number after the 315 is the percentage of the width of the tire expressed as sidewall. A 315x75r17 is 315mm wide and the sidewall is 75% of 315 (236mm = ~9"). The overall heighth of the tire is the sidewall calculated x2 + wheel diameter (9×2 +17 = 35). 315mm is ~= 12.5" width. Thanks! It drives great. My wife drives our JLUR mostly (on 37s as well) and even she made the comment the other day that it rides better than the JL. I had it on 315s since the day I bought it and there is almost no difference in power between the 315s and the 37s and it still goes into 7th and 8th gear on the highway, 3.73 gears and all
That's actually two sections of the square rod that you use to run the hoist. The socket is installed directly onto the impact.good idea!
What length socket did you use with the 14mm 6pt socket?
Great choice! My Gobi Overland got the same treatment a few months ago; I hated the silver. Old pic...I replaced the silver grill trim on my Overland.
There’s a guy selling his near me for $650. Worth it? I kinda feel like it takes away the whole purpose of a truck, but maybe I’m wrong.Got Decked today. great quality, fit and finish.... lots of bolts....
well , finally pulled the trigger on the Decked drawer system last night. got the order confirmation. now just wondering about the lead time on delivery ? any first hand knowledge ?
almost half price, good deal. I like it, lockable storage for gear for trips or work. There’s a guy selling his near me for $650. Worth it? I kinda feel like it takes away the whole purpose of a truck, but maybe I’m wrong.
I haven’t taken it on any long trips yet, but I have had it on the highway at 80mph for about 2 hours. The rear end feels just a little mushy, but by no means did it become a white-knuckler of a drive. I noticed it, I said to myself “Huh. Feels a little mushy”, and went back to talking to my wife. It stayed in the back of my mind, I’ll admit, but it didn’t cause me to drive any differently. Off the highway, on the under-55 pavement, it’s really not even noticeable. That is pretty dang neat! Is there much drag while driving with it like that?
Agree! It’s cool, but completely removes the bed’s function for anything other than what fits in the drawers.I kinda feel like it takes away the whole purpose of a truck, but maybe I’m wrong.
He said it was almost $1500 new. He has several of the accessory boxes, etc. I told him about the forum so he can find a buyer more quickly. I’m still too undecided on them. I think it’s better suited for overlanding/camping as opposed to work-truck use.almost half price, good deal. I like it, lockable storage for gear for trips or work.
