This is concerning. Did you treat it, and how?
Brushed it with a fine stainless wire brush, treated it with Extend rust converter, then painted over it. I've done minor rust on multiple cars that way and they are all fine - one was done over a decade ago, the others about 8 years ago, no rust since.

That is pretty common on both the JL and JT. Something about the welds either from the material itself or them not cleaned properly that makes the E-Coating of the frame not stick to those spots well and they chip pretty easily around those areas.

Getting it address by warranty is spotty and I think you are better off just spraying some rust converter and touching up with some like black epoxy paint.
I keep rust converters on hand, both brush-on and spray. And I used a black epoxy paint on my SX4 door locks to match the Jeep door handles I installed last year so have some of that left.
Pretty used to treating rust so that was my first thought - clean, convert, paint over it.
No way I'd bother with warranty on that - their cure might be worse.

Wired up the winch today - made brackets to hold the supplied cut-off switch, used existing bolt locations and bolts, no holes drilled, nothing really changed. If I change things around, I simply pull the bolts to take the brackets out and put the bolts back. I like mods like that that don't impact the ability to put things back.

Looks good! How do you like it? Got any more pics? Thinking about this one myself. Did you get any lights for the tag?
See The Overcon for more pics.
Used eBay motorcycle bolt LED tag lights.

Found some paracord that matches the orange interior accents of the Mojave as well as one that matches the Gator color quite well. Braided and installed some custom grab handles for each door as well as the headrests for backseat passengers. Very happy with how they turned out!

Finally got my Baja Designs LP6 Driver Combo lights wired up, as well as Diode Dynamics clear side markers installed. The LP6's are awesome, the pics don't do their lighting abilities much justice. The amber light is great, easy on the eyes.

Thereā€™s no link to share. I found the paracord at a local hardware store and I made the grab handles myself. Iā€™d consider making a set for others if there is interest.

I like those alot but my truck is blue, not a hint of that neat orange (my son's Compass has the orange accents and he loves it)
I'd like to do ones that go over the bar like the Mopar handles do but don't want to buy something that fancy or expensive. Would be mostly for my wife on the passenger side.
Too bad that cord doesn't come in hydro blue LOL.
There's a lot of things I can do and make - but I could never get those to come out as nice and even as you did so won't even try.

Iā€™m sure they have a blue that would come fairly close to Hydro blue.
If so I might have to consider a couple of those............ to attach to the roll bar/cage/whatever (I have the spiderweb shade attached to the trim screws)
