What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

I installed a curt front recriver hitch on my Mojave to carry a surf rod rack it fits fine but did require trimming the remote shock bracket and losing one bolt on each bracket, hitch went on quick really nice setup.....then I did battle with the skid plate for hours trimming little bit at a time, then at the very end it was looking like the hitch would block the skid plate, but it fit. In the end it looks like a huge hole but to put it in and pivot it and get around the braces on hitch that is what has to be done! Surf rack is about three inches higher then I’m used to, so I’ll keep the 11’and 12’ rods on the roof rack to avoid hitting stop lights.

I’ll take measurements of the hitch cutout on skid plate for others to work off of...Jack

not yet. Going to 4.88

I just 35's, was thinking going with 37's and 5.13 gears...but after mocking up a 37 and thinking of my current setup... it'll be tight. I just have 2.5" leveling lift on front. I just don't have the budget to go higher right now.

on 3.73, i only see 8th when on perfectly flat with a tailwind. 6th and 7th most times on the highway. Mileage (mpg) so far seems to be the same. I tow as well, so I'm getting 4.88's. Just waiting on parts. I'll keep you posted if you're interested.

I did 4:88s with 35s. It is very peppy and easily gets into 8th. I did take a hit for gas mileage. Dropped gpm one for the tires and one for the gearing. Still need to reprogram the computer to see how accurate that gpm change is.

As i was shopping for 37's, my shop guy says he wished he went 5.13's for 37's vs 4.88s. I ended going 35's, so i'll be going 4.88s.
