Did you need a trim tool? Im about to do mine
I have one but it’s not need to remove or reinstall the footwell trim. The real issue is where you’re pulling from. It’s more pull in along the floor toward the center. I’ve highlighted the photo below where the clips are locate ( they look like the letter C and hold the trim with a round tab.

I put down the Hotheads Sound Assassin on the floorboard. I still have enough that later I will take the rear seats out and do the back wall.

Used a Matco fuel injector cleaner with stand alone small gas tank.
Put gas & BG FI cleaner in, killed the Jeeps fuel pump and started the process.
Turned the machines fuel pressure down until it limped. When it would smooth out I lowered the fuel pressure again & again.
The BG distribution outlet’s salesman tried for almost two years to find out why my washes were better than other shops.
Our old TV commercials showed my mom in her STS before & after boiling the hides.
BG sells a great decloaking spray that you can invert the can.
Cleans Mass air flow sensors & the small hole on the butterfly along with upstream & downstream 02 sensors.

If you do this, do it BEFORE you change the oil.
Plus change the oil right after you are done as a carbon filled oil pan causes etching.

If done this way you don’t even need to add BG’s 44k tank additive.

Seen new oil look old after the process.

Conical injector pattern without breaks pushes the piston evenly.

Sea Foam is #2

I am changing the oil & filter at 1000 miles tomorrow for break in.

Sold out in 2000 so I only work on my own now.🥳
So.. you cleaned the injectors at 1k miles? I must be missing something :)

Bought a Mojave steering wheel and installed it tonight in my Sport S. I love the shape of the wheel and the perforated leather. Pretty simple install. I thought it turned out nice.

Oh dang. Didn’t think about getting a part number before I installed. Bought from a salvage yard.

It was easy. Just make sure you disconnect both batteries and wait about 20 mins. Just need to make sure and be safe when dealing with airbag. Took me about 10-15 mins.

Did all the steering wheel controls function as well?

Better mileage I suspect...just kidding.
Too soon as you say.

Although honestly I only saw a small increase in mileage.
Not very dirty.

Went from 14 mpg & change to only 15mpg in the Texas hill country with my heavy foot.

Maybe I am a perfectionist, or just anal. 😆

I had to rig all my new fuel connection lines anyway & was bored waiting on UPS & FedEx for new Jeep bling.

Main reason was passing along the info to gear heads.

Normally I service like this only every 10k miles.

Many years ago if you wanted a warranty on one of our builds you had to change the break in oil @ 500. miles.

Then when store bought/crate motors became a thing
I sold all my three phase Berco & Peterson TCM 25 floatation head etc. machine shop equipment & bought a down draft paint booth.

First body shop to offer free rentals in San Antonio.

Matter of fact I had my wife go to the police station to buy police accident reports alongside the ambulance chasers.

Selected the insurances companies that paid well and brand I got the biggest sheet metal discount on then called the potential customer.

Went great for a few years until I called a federal judge.
He was pissed & police reports were no longer available to my body shop.

Second place is just the first loser. 😁

And yes, I know engines are different now & my knowledge and schooling is 20 years behind but clean sensors do not lie to ECMs. ECUs whatever

Changing engine parameters based on dirty O2 sensors ain’t right.

Back then 80% of check engine lights went away after cleaning while other shops were selling new sensors.

and while I am rambling...

When Chrysler put ECUs on air cleaners long ago I was installing fans off Asian cars used for cooling vapor lock on carbs to cool the ECU.

Learn something new every day to die & forget it all.

Just passing it along.

# has been I am, but still long winded

Out
