Yesterday my little buddy broke his femur ice skating, and I married my 2nd couple (yes i'm ordained, by the internet).
So today I decided to make a mobile cart because he's very uncomfortable when we move him. Thought i'd share some photos since we still are waiting on pricing.

Sorry to hear about the little man! Hope all turns out well. Good use of plywood in emergency.

Thanks fellas. If you're a fingers crossed kinda guy, please cross your fingers he doesn't have to have a cast like this. We find out tomorrow morning.

Sent up a prayer. I heard recently some docs are moving away from casting. Must be for older people with developed bones...

Yikes. When one of my sisters was a kid she wrecked a go cart and broke an arm. Had to have a similar cast for her arm, tough thing for any short person.

Hey what's the update on junior?
Thanks for asking.

Well we didn't get the most uncomfortable cast, we got a splint with hard bottom and top. Little man was a champ though and feels so much better now. No crying or tears when we have to move him.

I did some more PLYWOOD work today. I had to modify the cart a bit because he can't bend at the waist now, so its either on his back or on his stomach for 4-6 weeks. =(

We basically had no choice, but to drive with the flashers on and take a less busy route home. Drove 35 miles north to another city to rent a special car seat that mostly allows him to sit mostly vertically.

Oh wow, looks like a total bummer. When this is done and when he gets out of this thing y’all need to take him to Disney World or something like that. Maybe take him 4 wheeling in a Jeep!
