What the hell, might as well take the doors off too.

The contrast of the dark body to tan interior looks great! I didn’t expect it would work that well until I saw your photo. Nice!

Now that I reread it, yep sure nuf sounds that way. But just in case interpretation is needed:
Whiting - a type of fish, good eating, similar to tilapia
Washing machine - waves were rough, 20 mph gusts at the beach
Penn Battle 3 - type of surf fishing rod and reel
Thats what I get for typing during the Georgia Alabama game.

Thanks, Bob, I’m from the south, but it was over my head!

Not today, but on Friday (10/16 - our anniversary!) we went down to Hollister Hills for the Jeep Adventure Academy - had a ball! Used the Downhill Descent feature and realized what a great feature that is! We are really impressed with the capabilities of this truck, even in completely stock form. We did scrape the belly a few times, but we had a great time. I've got a couple of videos from my dash cam but the software says they're too large to upload...

Installed a Reese hitch bike rack and went for a ride with my girls around the O’Neil Fore-bay. Apparently Reese hitch 4-bike racks are designed for 4 dudes to go bro-cycling! Had to flip the girls bikes upside down and the weight distribution isn’t ideal but it worked. Added a ratchet strap to avoid dropping a mangled bushel of bikes on the highway for other Sunday drivers!

Also had an anniversary on 10/16, but tested out collapsible rack system yesterday...”prototype”...under 3 minutes to lay flat in bed.

Can you explain this a little further? What kind of load is the roof rack capable of?
how long is the lumber you are hauling? Collapsible? Do tell
thanks

king tide this weekend in Neptune Beach, Fl which is NE FL. King Tide is a higher then usual tide that occurs during new or full moons but this one was exceptionally high. This road is near to the water but ive never seen it flood like this. Fun stuff.

Roof rack is mopar...quadratec has it rated at 150lbs. Bed rack folds to 3.5” 2x4 height + 1.5” cross bars (5” above bed floor) w/ removal of 4 eye bolts. I needed to be able to haul 16’ 2x4s. And wanted to be able to use roll up tonneau when not in use. Works out to be about 4’ back from rear upright (3 ‘ from bumper) and about 3’ off the front mopar rack making center of gravity near front bed rack upright. I’ll have to get a photo of it in the bed. Next adaptation may be replacing cross bars with 2 plywood panels to create a second “floor” when not bracing for hauling dry goods without removing bed rack.

cheers

It was the maiden off road voyage for the Gladiator. We took her deep into the Black Rock desert to camp, shoot, and stargaze. It consisted of about 60 miles high speed desert trail running to 60 +miles of gravel road. In addition I did some playa 90 mph+ speed running. I am impressed with the Gladiator. By the way, Black Rock is fantastic this time of year, if you ever wanted to visit a dark sky sanctuary.

Did the white rim trail in Canyonlands NP with some friends. We drove 70/100 miles in about 8 hrs and camped at Hardscrabble A. Friends stayed for a few brews and headed back to the RV in Moab. We broke camp before sunrise and rode most of the last 30 miles out in the dark.

Amazing trip, trail was pretty easy, only a couple sketchy parts. Highly recommended!
